  1. Those look quite nice. Contact info?? Bob
  2. Not if I see you first...... B
  3. Hard to find Aoshima kit OOB. Sooooooo much fun. Helllooooo McFly!! I used Metalizers but did have to clear coat due to their flaking. I did some fun research since I own the trilogy and took liberties where I felt I needed to, to add spice. A superb kit in every way. I'd like to thank MAMA modelers for providing the kit and the opportunity to model such an icon. Thanks to JustBill for urging me to buy it as well. You can see it tomorrow at work buddy. Bob
  4. A true Museum Piece John. I congradulate you on what is a superb effort in every way. Bob
  5. Yet another one I must get. I'm thinking some overtime is in the works. Bob
  6. Good news indeed Wayne. Please let us all know when they are available. I want a couple of sets each. Bob
  7. I bought from him for the first time early Dec and got it within a week. Total quality and great service. Bob
  8. I'm out to get a couple today. Thanks Bob I'm pretty sure that the aftermarket will do the original decals for this. At least the Mongose stuff. The Snake is notorious for not licensing things with ease. Hopefully some enterprising underground decal maker will take care of those.
  9. Nice decals. The only thing I would offer is the placement of the side decals. Having them lap over the wheel cut-outs might make it look mre like a paint job. Like the roof for example. Other than that minor idea I'm throwing out I think this is wonderful as is. Your stuff is always cool. Bob
  10. SSSSSSMOKIN Roger. I likey Bob
  11. And I thought having 7 Don Prudhomme cars was over the top. I no longer think that. Nice builds every one of em. Bob
  12. Gnarly.... Bob
  13. It's a load of BS. But I was laughing hard, so thanks for that. Hydrocoptic Marzel Vanes? OMG!!! Bob
  14. Finally, a model I can paint in metalflake where the flakes will actually be in scale. My only opportunity so I'll get a couple. One for Dad, one for me. I have to build Dads first though. Bob
  15. Geez John, I'm not sure what to say.... It's been said but bears repeating. OUTSTANDING! Bob
  16. Sorry for the long wind, but I just had to get it out. Been a while since I even opened the hood on one. I maintain 3 cars now. 1 Chevy [mine], 1 Pontiac [Mums], 1 Camry [My best friends]. I don't see any SAAb's in my future. I for one am happy for that. Parts can be a problem. Bob
  17. All that you said is true Harry. I would just add that these folks REALLY didn't care what it cost [for the most part]. They were just dyed in the wool like I've never seen types man. When it was discovered there was a non dealership guy who was tuning Euro and in particular SAAb [sic], I got inundated for a while. Here is the scenario. I worked at a Used Car dealership. This was a Portuguese tilted place. Where I'm from that is who live there [i am one] and Mr Corriea who i worked for was from the old country. All these people drive Euro with almost NO exceptions. He'd go to the auctions start of the week and I'd work em and get em ready for the lot till Thurs. I'd work on walk in and cust cars Fri/Sat and sometimes Sun. These SAAb [sic] owners were hounds. They'd come in at any time expecting me to do what they needed. I understand that it's a garage, but they were just RABID. I can't recall how many times I was asked to drop what I was doing [Tune up on a 500SL], to get the rattle out a beige/brown Swedish car. I had enough work on the side to keep me sleepless for months. SAAb owners [for me] are a differnt walk of lfe altogether. Firsthand, true story. Bob PS: I agree with all that was posted above. GM is/was the wrong firm to handle ANYTHING Euro. Outlook, fundementals and values are all wrong for the demographic and philosophy.
  18. I worked largely on Euro for more than 17 years. During that time I have wrenched my share of SAAb. In all that time I have come to one conclusion. SAAb owners are a LOYAL lot. They keep even the oldest cars running almost no matter how much it may cost. I had a sweet place for parts back then and I became kind of a SAAB guy. I don't care much for them in the looks department, but I know I can get one to run well. My misfortune came recently when I mentioned this to a NAPA customer I was helping. I now have 3 SAAb owners calling and coming in for advise. My bad............. How many people you know can tune Jaguar oil soaked and side draft carbs? Now you know at least one. Me and my big mouth!!!! Bob
  19. My local shop here in Baltimore Overlea Hobbies will also be closing first of the year. The factors are too numerous to mention but Bob is getting up there and the Landlord is pushing for a lease agreement on his store. I was just there today and spent what will probably be the last i ever spend there. It's a shame because like the shop mentioned by the OP, this one has been in business for many years and I can shoot the poop there and get the things I need. Sad days indeed. Be glad you can say there were hobby shops and enjoyed them. Future generations will not know what you're talking about. Bob
  20. I have those in gold and silver and they are good for modern connections. But there is no substitute when it comes to builds of cars that are a bit older. Then, only the good fittings will do. I have the metal Detail Master and the Scale Motorsports resin ones as well. Those resin ones are also very nice and lots cheaper. Bob
  21. I see this topic. I go look at RB Motion. I drop 75.00 bucks. Rat Bastids Bob
  22. Holy Styling Studies Batman! That is KILLER! Bob
  23. I stand corrected. It was the 57 Chevy art that was TD's first. The two are quite similar in approach if nothing else. History is fun. Thanks Bob
  24. Looks KILLER Bill! Just what you needed to get back to building. I love it. Bob
