  1. This is looking fantastic. The mesh looks spot on and as real as it gets. Watching. Bob
  2. Cannot wait to get mine. I am ordering decals for the original cars as well. SUWEET!! Bob
  3. Gorgeous build. More motor please. Bob
  4. .This one has been beaten to death. If you search there are at least 3 perhaps 4 threads. Sorry Bob
  5. Superb!!! Bob
  6. CRICKEY, that's a LOT of work Wayne. I applaude your efforts and your completes are always a pleasure to admire. Bob
  7. It's HIGH TIME either Monogram or Revell steps up to do a modern AA/FC or Dragster. Pro Mod is another class that's begging for a base kit. I see a lot of scratchbuilt rollcages here and I'm just plain lazy so a kit would be perfect. Pro Stock is another class that's begging for an updated kit as well. I realize it's the licencing fees that are preventing this. Hence all the vintage releases. I know these things are not really what is being discussed here but I needed to vent this. I'm still on board with all this 1/16th scale talk though. I always vote with my wallet. Bob
  8. I have to do one in Patriots livery. That came out darn nice. Bob
  9. No harm, no fould Skip. Sorry you had a "senior" moment there. If it makes you feel any better [i'm betting it will not], I have them these days as well. It's all good in the hood. BTW: I too didn't notice the term "Pro" was not anywhere in the ad. Making me as culpable as any else that didn't.
  10. You didn't disagree or agree with me at all Skip so I fail to see why you quoted me. You should quote EXACTLY what it is you disagree with so I can be clear to your meaning. Bob
  11. I think if we were to all look at it with a careful, honest eye, there is not a ONE of us that would qualify that as "Pro" work. The difference between "Pro" and say "Out of box with zero paint or flash removal" may seem subtle to some, but not this guy. I'm not going to argue the "Pro" built, "Amateur rubbish" thing here. Since that is not germane to the OP's exclamation. And as a qualifier, there are many a "Pro Built" model shown on these here pages. They just arne't needlessly hyped as such. Bob
  12. I wish my first post was as impressive. Well done and welcome aboard. Bob
  13. As cool a lineup as I've seen Ira. All are superb. Bob
  14. That is beyond cool. Bob
  15. And let's not forget it was The New England Patriots who went into Superbowl XLII undefeated and lost to the NY Giants. Most of the pundits said NE were invincible [i was hoping they were], but NY had other plans. While the loss still stings we NE fans it proves no team should be crowned kings till it's over. That's why they play the games. And Tom Brady's numbers were staggering much like young Mr Rogers are. Bob
  16. I enjoyed every minute of that game yesterday. Tebow time came to an end in proper fashion. Now NE has to deal with the Ravens who are my pick to win the AFC game today. Living in Baltimore and being a lifelong NE fan has been tricky to say the least. Bob
  17. Sad day indeed. Tommy was responsible for a great deal of Bigs success. A great mechanic and self taught engineer, Bigs rear engined digger was made possible as much by TC's insight and cleverness as was Garlits will to see it happen. R.I.P Tommy................... Bob
  18. I'm digging the enthusiasm Art. The latest Mongoose release of the old Monogram kit is certainly encouraging for many of us drag builders. Bob
  19. I'm in as well. I have a few of the Revell kits and an Aurora VooDo Vega, but I wouldn't mind them bringing them back. The Bebe and Mulligan FE digger was the last one released. The molds are there for sure. I build mostly in 1/24/25 but I also dig the larger scales. I know the aftermarket stuff is there already. I'm on board as well. Bob
  20. The bars you built make this 100% better. I have a couple of Japanese HD kits. I should pirate a Shovel out of one of those and do an old school build Very nice. Bob
  21. And here I was thinking my laced strene wheels were cool. These are truly gorgeous! Killer work. Bob
  22. Very cool Vid. Such a sharp young man building models make me feel certain our hobby is in good hands. Thank you. Bob
  23. I almost lettered them but my research showed it wasn't painted [on the BTTF cars]. DeLorean owners can buy an aluminum script package to do theirs up. Bob
  24. No figure Nate. But it did come with extra pieces. They were curious until I watched the movie a few nights ago. Then it hit me. The extra pieces are for the flying version at the end of the movie. There is a mechanism that allows the wheels to fold dwn and out flat like the flying car. The extra parts are for the "Mr Fusion" apparatus that the flying car has. I've decided to paint and build those pieces as an accessory. It even comes with a clear base that plugs in the chassis to get it up off the ground. Very cool stuff. Thans for the kinds words as well guys. Total build time was about a week of nightly building. Bob
  25. Wow, glad it's growing, but growth often means a little pain. I was trying to post my Back To The Future car when that was going on. I kept thinking it was me till I tried other sites and they were just flying in. 300 on at once eh? Awesome!!!! Bob
