  1. Very well executed! Super clean and razor sharp! The color is perfect, too!
  2. It'll be good to see you Chris! Ya been a wee bit scarce at meetings of late.
  3. You're very welcome, Chris! The decision to have a (permanent) First Responder class was driven by feedback from attendees and participants. Don't let the occasional vapid, blank stare from some of us on the day of the show make you think we aren't listening! We've left the class fairly broadly defined to encourage participation and provide a forum for the unique character these subjects bring to the display tables. Bring 'em on, folks!
  4. In spite of the silly spirit of the original post, I really am curious about the calendar thing. Anyone?
  5. I viewed (I wasn't logged in) the events calendar and saw the 9/11/11 September Showdown was listed (mysteriously) on Saturday the 10th. I logged in to correct it, but when I did it appeared (mysteriously) on the 11th, which is the correct calendar spot. I am confused. Does this mean people have to be logged in to view the correct event dates? Can somebody help a brother out? Do I have to fix something...or not? Are we talkin' a simple "user issue" here? It's making me a little crazy...
  6. I think someone successfully defused a bomb! Well done!
  7. If you are referring to the Super September Showdown in Gilbertsville on the 11th, I'll certainly be there. They make me work the registration desk show all day and don't let me walk the floor. I'll be the funny looking middle-aged guy with hardly any hair.
  8. I'll write you a note if you think it will help...you know we'd love to see you!
  9. The twelfth annual Super September Showdown is just a month away! A paltry $5 gets you through the door and grants you full access to the contest tables and vendors! As announced last year, we have a new, stand alone category for First Responders and this year's theme is TV, Movie or Show Cars! For a show flyer, registration forms and other show information, just zip off to the club's site at www.cpmcc.org or click HERE to get to the show's info page!
  10. At first I thought talent and skill of this level this was somehow the result of living so close to the Limerick nuke plant, but I grew up there, too and it didn't have the same effect on me. Spectacular craftsmanship, Dave!
  11. What can brown do for you? Gorgeous, Lyle! I love the 409 choice!
  12. You really nailed the look, Cruz! She's gorgeous!
  13. It's so nice to see such broad interests reflected in the subjects you built! Very creative and well executed!
  14. I bought one complete and unbuilt at a local farmer's market for $50 and the only issue was a spot on the body where a tire had melted the styrene. I've been slowly (very slowly) accumulating some 8th scale parts before starting off on a mild street machine build. The kit seems very well engineered and begs for detailing. As an aside, Mr. Smith seems to have taken his project a wee bit further than what I have in mind for my own.
  15. It looks like the kind of rod a guy would drive the livin' daylights out of. Nicely done!! Very believable!
  16. Click THIS if you dare.
  17. We're going to need more dust...
  18. Mommy! Mommy! Make the bad truck go AWAY! (That thing is flippin' awesome...)
  19. Very nicely done!
  20. Your paint work is outstanding!! The Riv knocked my socks off!!
  21. Nicely executed! It would have been easy for this build to get "out of balance", but the paint work, custom features and level of detail you incorporated work extremely well with each other. I love the chassis detailing! Take a bow!!
  22. Anything that looks that good AND promotes scrapple consumption is aces in my book. I love it!
  23. Very well done! It's gorgeous!
  24. The club's May meeting featured a special theme contest for pick-ups in addition to the regular monthly open. There were pick up trucks everywhere! Clickification HERE gets you to the album.
