  1. The IMC is from the failed effort a couple years ago to issue this and the Johan 75 Cutlass. Nothing to do with the old IMC .
  2. Means Snap-Tite to the Max. Like Max Power, more awesome than a regular Snap-Tite
  3. Not the first two kits..the '71 is a Ranger XLT, but they didn't have the grill emblem then. The '69 is a base Custom trim level, I believe. Who knows what they will follow up these with..
  4. I do love going over there..probably will head over to San Diego and LA a few times this summer. I love the coastal parts of California..the problem is the real estate cost..anything nice is very expensive, even w/ my income I'd be stuck in something pretty small in the nicer areas. I've had job offers in California in the past, San Jose a couple times and San Diego. I probably should have moved to San Francisco or San Jose when I was in my 20s and renting, since Silicon Valley is still overall the best place in the US career-wise for software engineers..
  5. My sister's old Toshiba laptop's fan died a couple months ago. I bought a new fan from eBay, dissassembled it and replaced the fan. After putting it back together, the wireless and mouse ceased to function. I bought a wifi USB dongle from Amazon that fixed the wireless problem..
  6. I always get the phone insurance as mine often get destroyed.
  7. The Safari was the JDM name for the Patrol. Basically Nissan's Land Cruiser competitor..not sure if I've ever seen a kit of stock one.
  8. LoL..I guess the equivalent of that for a new phone is getting the clear screen protector film and a case..
  9. Did you keep your existing numbers? I know about phone number portability, but I've heard about people have problems doing that when switching carriers.. My current phone I ordered online from Verizon and synched up all the contacts, etc from the cloud and mailed them back my old, broken phone. The last time I went to the Verizon store to buy a new phone (a couple years ago) it was time consuming and tedious..
  10. Kewl...have only seen two of them so far, a black one at Barrett-Jackson and a white one in traffic in Scottsdale..
  11. On the subject of HOAs, I had one when I had a condo in Denver and had no problems with it...the things I really liked about a condo was that yardwork, outside maintenance, snow removal was all taken care of and it was a gated community. My current house is in a non-HOA neighborhood in Phoenix but for the most part it is a pretty tidy and well kept neighborhood and no overly obnoxious neighbors (though my next door neighbor drove me crazy with two massive home remodelings in a year--noise, dust, traffic, trucks parked out front, etc but we get along fine now). At some point in the future, I wouldn't mind having a house in a gated neighborhood, seems like a good idea and deterrent against crime and riff-raff.
  12. Speaking of Ford pickups of this era..saw one today in traffic that would be a fun way to do a kit--it was a well worn, faded light blue '68-69 longbed towing a yard service trailer...46-47 years old and still on the job!
  13. bummer...it's too bad Aoshima or Fujimi hasn't done the more recent Skylines in kit form..the last one was the first gen G35 IIRC...
  14. Nice..didn't realize they were tooling up the Infiniti Q50 (latest Skyline).
  15. At the grocery I came out and saw two new hatchbacks on either side of me, very different in style and purpose, both with personalized plates..on the left was a bright red Mercedes GLA250, first I'd seen..had license plate 'RAT DOG' and on my right was a white Jaguar F-Type S, license plate 'HELO KITY'...
  16. That could just be the current '68-69 kit..the drag version has a hole in the hood, and the fender notch implies it's a '68/69..could be just a coincidence that that body is sitting there. The pic is too fuzzy to tell much..maybe someone can do some hi-res forensic analysis on the photo...
  17. The best part of the Revell diecast is the grille..I like the engraving and the light covers open (worlds better than the crappy effort from AMT). I have the Missing Link resin kit and an MPC annual, so I really don't need another '70, but a '70 based on the Revell diecast would be fine w/ me.
  18. Tailight panel is correct for a base 70, which the diecast represents. It's not an R/T, so it doesn't have the R/T taillight surround trim or door scoops..
  19. They would listed under the year of the kit, 1997. I got a couple sets of these from the Modelhaus, this is their description on their site: 1997 Ford Police Wheels - for Lindberg Crown Victoria kit, black wheels with chrome hubs.
  20. This thread stirred me to do a bit of googling on KW Alaskan Haulers,.found this beast..may be unrelated... caption said it was a 1965 KW 884C w a V10 Cummins..never seen a truck w/ a front end like this, maybe the V-shape is for two radiators? Later vintage headlights, looks like. Really unusual..
  21. Not really..no correlation between the value of a 1970 promo and demand for a new kit of a similar subject. Old Mopar promos in good shape in the special colors have gone for high prices for years..
  22. Those are the later Stovebolt six, someone mentioned the Toyota engine is more like an earlier Chevy 6 (which the MPC 32 Chevy kit had)
  23. The Tamiya Civic appears to be a 3rd gen model and the new kit is a 4th gen. I remember Tamiya making a street CRX of that era (recently reissued) and a street 3rd gen Civic hatchback...don't recall any 4th gen kits..
  24. Not a fan of Bad Brad or smilin' Joey....but if they did the Chevy SS in various Hendrick or Stewart-Haas liveries, I'd be interested.
