  1. Mine is like that, 2007 vintage ADT. The newer ones use the WiFi/internet connection instead of a land line..and they have a phone app for arming/disarming them...mine still works fine, will put one of the new ones in my next house.
  2. Saw a sharp burnt orange/reddish '68 Charger R/T today, had some large black multispoke wheels w/ 3-tip knockoffs.
  3. I keep the ringer off on my home phone (don't use it for anything except the alarm system), and my cell on vibrate, so I'm never bothered by nonsense calls. I just delete them from the voice mail log periodically..
  4. In the last two years I've seen a couple cupcake shops open and close in high traffic spots. I've read that the cupcake fad is over and fancy donut shops are the New Big Thing..one of the new donut shops has bacon wrapped donuts..mmmm got to check that out..
  5. Mail came early today..got two boxes from Model Roundup, 1 each of Mobieus '69 and '71 Ford trucks, and a squashed box w/ the Revell Rabbit and auto hauler trailer.. the Revell boxes are so soft that it's pretty mangled but looks to be in good shape inside..
  6. IIRC from the Newhart show opening scenes, the Olds was a '73 4dr ht though...similar to Sam Riami's car that has appeared in most of his movies..
  7. I saw those...looked pretty rough.

  10. I'm really surprised they aren't putting more effort in keeping their site up to date. It's 2015, not 1995...
  11. That wouldn't make sense, as the Monogram 30 A coupe is 1/24th and the Revell 32s are 1/25th...
  12. I like the style of side mirrors on those movie trucks...
  13. Yeah, it looks like the F550 cab and chassis models are available w/ a 200.8 wb (regular cab) or a 200.2 wb (crew cab), among other wheelbase lengths.. These are 2015 numbers, but I would assume previous years would be the same.. Wheelbase Regular Cab: 140.8" (60" CA); 164.8" (84" CA); 188.8"(108" CA); 200.8" (120" CA) SuperCab: 161.8" (60" CA); 185.8"(84" CA) Crew Cab: 176.2" (60" CA); 200.2" (84" CA)
  14. Way to go to the Hawks...I enjoyed hockey w/ the Avalanche when I lived in Colorado...alas, the future of pro hockey here in the Valley of the Sun is up in the air currently..
  15. Yes, I would think it would be a full time job for a skilled caster or two given the size of their catalog and presumed volume of business..
  16. No idea as to their future, but I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years..bought a lot of their parts for kit restos and a lot of their kits and conversions. Love their stuff...
  17. Looks like the truck from Gran Torino
  18. Preorders have been the SOP w Japanese kit new releases for a while, I always do that w HLJ, starting to do that now w some Moiebus and Revell kits through Model Roundup.
  19. It never hurts to preorder items you want from your favorite retailer.
  20. Vast parking areas for unsold inventory...seen this posted on Jalopnik and elsewhere...wonder why all those Durangos were white or silver/gray...fleet vehicles?
  21. Ordered one from Model Roundup the other day, on the way..I figure this will be nice to use in a diorama display eventually..maybe w/ an AMT Ford C class cab and a load of '70-71 Ford products..
  22. That kind of resembles one of my storage units, but mine are all uniformly boxed..
  23. The biggest interior difference over those years seems to be the '68 dash...quite different from the 69-72 design.
  24. Yes, but this will be the younger and more tech savvy modelers..the majority of modelers (on here and elsewhere) seem to be grumpy old technophobes. At my last company we had a Makerbot 3D printer, I printed out a few simple designs...people are printing some pretty elaborate designs w/ them, probably going to get a home one eventually...
