Apparently your appliances are living on borrowed time... Other than replacing a washing machine, the other appliances haven't had any issues (at least since I moved here in '08).

My folks had a GE refrigerator that lasted I believe 35 years. My current appliances all date to 2002 when my sister bought the house and had the kitchen remodeled. Same old, same old..putrid AZ summer... at least the weather will be 'cool' again in about 3 months. If everything goes to plan, this will be my last summer here.

A home warranty policy is good for things like that...mine covers repairs to appliances, the A/C, plumbers, etc...

Yeah, class of '88 here...when I was in high school I did know a few kids driving their folks wagons ('80s GM b-bodies mostly) or a hand-me-down late '70s wagons (again, mostly GM b-bodies)..they weren't considered cool cars then.

Got a bunch of goodies in the mail today..got a box of parts from The Modelhaus, from C1 Models in the UK a '67 Camaro widebody conversion kit (in only 12 days and very well presented in a special box), and while not model related, but pretty cool---from Amazon several Mezco Breaking Bad 6 inch character figures for my BB collection..

Today was the day for car drama. I got about a mile from home in the Jeep when the temp gauge maxed out and steam started boiling out from under the hood and out the dash vents. Limped back home and found the radiator hose had popped off. Waited until 7 when my local repair shop opened, they came out, reattached the hose and added water and drove it to the shop..got off cheap, new radiator and thermostat. Meanwhile I drove to work in my DTS, in which the A/C is now blowing warm air...fun, fun...

Guy from the water department came out..twice. Said it's a mild leak, they will get to it in the 2-3 weeks and that it's the next door neighbor's water line (such it is with pie shaped yards in a psuedo cul-de-sac)... and he doesn't have sprinklers, but artificial turf.

The Gol/Fox may be the most recent 2dr wagon sold in the US...can't think of any after that...I used to work w/ someone around '00 that had one, was pretty worn out..a faded red.

I haven't found a way to delete quoted blocks (the content within the block can be deleted, but the block itself stays). It's weird, when I'm composing a reply I see the quoted blocks (gray bar on the left side) but not the name..

True...all the corporate sites I've developed in recent years have had responsive design and mobile/tablet support as major requirements... (I've noticed the quoting in reply works a bit funky, though...somehow I got a Tom G quote in my reply and can't get rid of it..)

Bought the Fujimi '13 Lexus LS460hL today from HLJ, next will probably be the Moebius '65 Satellite.
