  1. Looks like a customized old Toyota Previa..
  2. This is the first of two reboots, I've read..this is the one w/ the female cast, the 2nd will be a male cast..
  3. Hmmm...either the MPC or Johan stock car race car kit, it looks like...that hood scoop is from somewhere else, though..
  4. Linkedin is a strange place sometimes...I get recruiters from all over the country contacting me through there for positions I'd only marginally be interested in. I get developers in India wanting to connect (whom I suspect want to connect w/ potential H1-B sponsors).
  5. Looking forward to mine...in the mail now from Model Roundup..
  6. Approx. 1200 unbuilt, 250 restorable old kits, and maybe 150 that I've built. Not counting resin kits and promos..
  7. I suppose I am irked by the long rain delay on the NASCAR race.. not staying up to watch the whole thing, I'm up at 5 am on Mondays.. on the other hand, the F1 race this morning was a good one..
  8. My dogs didn't seem to react much to the fireworks last night... the main city fireworks show was a few miles away and wasn't very loud in the house..kept the dog door closed and the tv fairly loud.most of them dozed through the evening, one did bark a fair bit off and on...
  9. Get a top-line custom shop to build me a replica Cadillac Sixteen.. For a more down-to-earth, production vehicle, I'd take a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. and maybe one of these for a practical daily driver, a Merc S63 AMG coupe..
  10. Ugh...PHP...not a fan of that language/framework.
  11. http://round2models.com/models/mpc
  12. Yeah...I'm not a big fan of overseas outsourcing...I've been on too many projects that had too many problems with that..big software projects coordinated across 3 countries and multiple time zones..led to lots of headaches.
  13. It sounds like their quality control/quality assurance efforts with regards to accuracy could use some improvement at various stages of the process.. I wonder if Revell, etc practice TQM, Six Sigma or ISO9000;;
  14. It is fascinating how many things are considered the basics even on the cheapest cars today were options or not even available in the olden days..
  15. I didn't see anything about this being a Stevens release. Thought it was a normal Round2 release?
  16. Got the Modelhaus '61 Cadillac Series 62 coupe kit in the mail today...love the fins and skegs look. I was worried about it sitting in a box outside triple digit temps for up to 8 hrs, but other than being a bit warm it seems fine, not warped..
  17. Sharp build..love the color, the wheels, the wheel paint details..
  18. I'll have to take the time to check some of these out...I get over to San Diego or OC for summer beach time a few times a year and Long Beach and Fontana for races some years.. I may be traveling for work to LA frequently starting in the fall.
  19. I do wonder if the JF wagon body can be adapted to fit...
  20. As the August release is listed at on Model Roundup, I think it will be a regular molded in color (mustard) Snap Tite..same price point as the Boxster Snap Tite reissue. The 2nd issue coming later (been shown in red) will be the pre-paint, i believe (Tower Hobbies is showing this as late September).
  21. My current DL (which I got when I moved here in 2008) is good through 2036, but apparently it will be invalid as an ID at the airport next year...
  22. I save them..otherwise, the model would have no place to go
  23. Does it have ethernet jacks in the power outlets throughout? A friend of mine in Colorado in '99 built a house and had Cat-5 cabling throughout the house w/ ethernet jacks everywhere...alas, obsolete once WiFi became mainstream..
