  1. I remember in the olden days (late 70s-early 90s) finding out about new releases whenever they showed up in stores....there was 'surprise'... but I have no interest in going back to the past, it's hard to beat the wealth of information online and the ease at ordering online..for example, the simplicity of ordering kits from a dealer in Japan via my phone with just a few clicks...
  2. I'd love to have a kit of the Tesla...something fresh, modern and relatively new instead of the same old, same old...
  3. A '48-49 Coupe de Ville would be nice. There are a couple Cadillacs of that era available in resin, but a kit would be nice..
  4. I've managed to take off 10 pounds since last August, but still need to take off another 30 pounds to get under 200, my goal. I ran into a former coworker the other day--he's taken off 185 pounds since last August, on a special doctor supervised diet..
  5. Really want to do one like this
  6. Would be nice..along with an FJ40/FJ45 in a few variations...
  7. A Stout kit would be interesting. I'd really like to see a '60s-70s FJ40 Land Cruiser kitted...Tamiya makes a sweet large scale RC one..
  8. Using tools like saws or cutting torches probably. The probably ride rough with such short wheelbases.
  9. Pretty crude..doesn't even have a firewall..wonder what it was built off of, maybe the chassis and floorpan of a delivery van (w/ that treadplate)?
  10. Very nice...this is your 4th or 5th Fed Ex vehicle, isn't it? Building a nice collection of them...
  11. AMC is definitely 'eccentric'..
  12. Yeah, when I grew up we had the shepherds on a 150 acre property in the woods of east Ohio...lots of room for them to run. I'm a city guy, I like a small fenced (or better, walled) back yard for the little dogs..
  13. It is funny..I grew up with German Shepherds and Dobermans...but in recent years I'm loving the little terriers..so much personality in a small package.
  14. The only Academy kit I have is their recent Hyundai Azera snap kit, and it is quite good. This is the first I've heard of the Cobra Daytona since '10, interesting to see it surface again...wonder if this is for real. I haven't seen any mention of it on Hobby Search yet...
  15. I've posted here in the past about our dogs that have passed away, we lost 4 senior dogs over the last 3 1/2 years.. but we've been successful with adoptions of dogs from rescues and shelters..here is the current pack.. Ginny (Ginger) she is 7, had her since she was 11 months old. 5 pounds of Yorkie joy.. Penny, 8, an 8 lb Yorkie, was adopted from a local rescue in '13.. Zo (Alonzo/Zoie) on the left is a HUGE Yorkie boy (16lbs!)--adopted him 3 years ago, 9 yrs old, in the center is Nautibell (aka Bitey) an Australian Terrier rescued from the county shelter, was a stray--at least 10 yrs old; and in the front, Raine, 2yrs old, adopted last fall from a local rescue..not sure what she is, but she is very loving.. Mr. Beardsley--1yr old, adopted last fall with Raine (on the right) from a local rescue..he's some sort of terrier mix..a sweet little guy And Henry...he's a 10lb Yorkie, 8 yrs old, adopted from our a manager at our vet's office..he kind of antisocial w/ the other dogs but is loving w/ his humans.. Here is a closeup of Nautibell (Bitey)...she was adopted in '13 on my sister's birthday, one year after Nauti her previous Aussie Terrier passed away. She had two tumors that were removed last year, were cancerous, but after 6 months on cancer meds, her oncologist says she is cancer free...great dog, very loving.
  16. That flyer is from over 5 years ago...apparently was cancelled?
  17. Interesting..that Academy Daytona coupe kit was apparently announced 5 years ago and didn't materialize then..
  18. I put mine in Public Storage packing boxes, usually 10-12 kit boxes to a box. Then the packing boxes usually maybe 5-6 high (which is about 7 feet up).
  19. The Hudsons are too old and obscure to appeal to me, maybe in 20 years when I'm in my 60s the model companies will tool up some 70s vintage land yachts... cars I remember fondly from childhood.....
  20. Problem is its only a one version subject , obscure, ugly (IMO) and would have very limited appeal.
  21. The box art at the top was never issued. AMT 821 is actually the same kit as the one at the bottom but molded in white instead of yellow, same box art (except for the molded in color sticker) . 821/849 is the latest issued version of the '68 Road Runner, has upgraded tires (w/ redlines) and the extras (minature box, etc) that Round 2 has been adding lately..
  22. Weird.. I don't recall ever seeing a '53 Corvette on TG...hmmm. Edit: .it says 'Top Gear USA'....do they have a Stig? I've seen a few episodes of the US show, but thought it was pretty stupid.
  23. Saw a solid looking white '66 Caddy Sedan de Ville in a fenced in lot near downtown..
  24. A few min ago while watching the coverage during cars entering pit lane, I noticed an old Mazda B-series pickup in red track service livery parked at the end of the pit boxes...
  25. I for one love the 70s land yachts...'30s-50s subjects generally do nothing for me...I'd much rather have a kit of a '70s Marquis than a '50s Hudson. Looking forward to the Citroen kit, its such an iconic design, got to have one.
