  1. I'm looking forward to November. I hate the long hot summers here. If everything goes to plan, this will be my last summer in AZ.
  2. I've had State Farm for over 20 years and in 3 states. Had a couple small accidents (parking lot incidents), they've never raised my rates or created a fuss. No problems, been happy with them.
  3. Yes, the Chevy 500... Argentine GMC Chevette 2dr sedan: Brazilian Chevy Chevette sedan:
  4. The UK had the Vauxhall Chevette.. The T-car had so many variations worldwide..the Isuzu one (which was sold in the US as the Buick Opel then the i-Mark), ..Daewoo had one in S. Korea...Holden in Australia, many variations in S. America...a true world car. Many body styles.. 2dr sedan, 4dr sedan, 5 dr hatch, 3 dr hatch, 3dr wagons, sedan deliveries... This Bedford Chevanne is neat..
  5. I've bought a ton of restoration parts from them for about 2 decades now, mostly by mail and some in person at the Toledo NNL back in the 90s the few times I went. I've also bought a bunch of their kits over the last 15 years or so...got the Shasta trailer on order now, need to get the '61 Coupe de Ville, 66 & 67 Grand Prix hardtops, '62 Chrysler Newport sedan, etc...great stuff, excellent customer service. Will definitely miss them.
  6. Looks like a sit down skiing thing
  7. Looking good..
  8. It's a Polaris Slingshot. 3 wheeler. For a minimalist open vehicle, I'd like to drive an Ariel Atom sometime..
  9. Given Revell's recent track record, it's perfectly normal to expect issues, though... Wrong answer. These aren't toys for children, Revell has to be held to a standard of accuracy as any other kit maker is held. It's weird how people get villified for criticising obvious mistakes in kits (such as some Revell's recent botch jobs) and expecting a high level of accuracy in this hobby, yet other forms of modeling (aircraft, armor) seem to have much higher standards and expectations. Too many complacent people in model cars seem to accept mediocrity and inaccuracies without speaking up...
  10. The AMT '72 Chevy pickup would have the right 2wd suspension and chassis, but would need to be shortened.
  11. A buddy of mine has one with about 275k, on it's second engine and transmission. I rented a bunch of these and the Chrysler versions back in the day, always pleasant cars to drive. Reading the article, sounds like a great adventure...quite the road trip.
  12. Interesting..I'll have had mine 15 years in August and it's just over 156k now ('00 Grand Cherokee)
  13. Someone makes or made a Divco in resin, IIRC.
  14. Saw a new Range Rover in a gold chrome wrap...looked like a Hot Wheels car. Also saw a red Dodge Raider in good condition..haven't seen one of those in ages..
  15. Got the regular version today (molded in white, normal size box)...neat kit.
  16. I thought Arrowhead went out of business years ago..
  17. I keep my home phone ringer off and keep my mobile on vibrate..only answer if I recognize the caller id. Otherwise let it roll to voice mail. No nonsense to deal with that way.
  18. It's an update of the '90s era '65 with newly tooled wheels included.
  19. You can't really take those reviews seriously.
  20. Some of the tooling was new..i.e. the parts that were different between '65-66.
  21. Or keep the Beretta transaxle and front suspension, make a FWD '29 Ford for something different...
  22. Matte black wraps (not paint, usually) seem to be all the rage in recent years..seen quite a few cars ranging from Challengers, Mustangs, Raptors to Audi R8s and Merc sedans done this way. Other matte colors are also catching on.
  23. Saw a sharp silver '63/64 Riviera, a white '80s Ferrari 308GTS, and pale green '49-50 Ford Fordor in solid shape.
  24. Went to the local model swap meet and got a solid, unpainted AMT '63 Imperial ht w/ box and a clean gold '66 Riviera promo.
  25. Some have silver dash trim, some have body color. That jibes with the dozen or so I've seen at car shows and auctions over the years...
