  1. I like modern Chrysler products. Thinking of getting a new Grand Cherokee to replace my old one...like the 300, Charger and Challenger quite a bit also....
  2. Chrysler Building hasn't been associated with the car brand for decades,I think...
  3. Good to see them doing the 918, I figured rog or Tamiya would do it eventually. The i 8 will be interesting to see, at least they aren't doing the hideous i 3. I'd have rather seen a current 911 and current BMW M models, though. I can understand their choices, though..kits of supercars always sell well...
  4. Yes, nice weather here in Phoenix. This is the time of the year I like living in Az.
  5. For a 4dr, start w the 64 Lindberg Dodge 330 for the roof...someone post ed a good looking 4dr from one on one of the forums recently.
  6. Not just new VWs, but any modern non-Ferrari European car....been very little in the last 15 years or so
  7. Don't think I've seen many new ones in diecast either. The current Beetle, Golf, and esp the CC (my favorite modern VW) would be nice to see in 1/24th. Or a brown Jetta Sportwagon TDI....
  8. Saw a new 15 Challenger R/T in white w black stripes today...wears the changes well, IMO...also a sharp bright red w white top 66 Olds 88 convertible...
  9. Probably will be in the $35-40 USD range at HLJ like the Renaults, depending on the exchange rate....
  10. Ebbro released a 2CV Fourgonette, but that is different.
  11. Another Citroen that would be neat to see in 1/24 is the funky corrugated H series van...
  12. Hobby Link Japan is the best source for Japanese kits...got my Ebbros from there.
  13. Something to look forward to...maybe they will do an SM also eventually.
  14. Did Aoshima ever do a stock 2wd Hilux of this generation, or only lowriders?
  15. Went to Xmas brunch at the Ritz-Carlton today, and saw this eclectic pair parked out front---a black and gold 77/78 Trans Am w the Bandit style front plate next to a new white Rolls-Royce Wraith coupe. On the way home saw a white Morris Minor 2 dr with gray spiked 4 spoke mags.
  16. MCW makes the hardtop body in resin, by the way...
  17. I do like the afternoon commute in downtown Scottsdale..always something interesting. This afternoon, saw a gorgeous silver late 70s Porsche 930 turbo, a dark gray Nissan GTR, a black Land Rover Sport ( the new generation), an orange Mercedes SLS, a bright blue current 911 GT3, a chrome wrapped 05-09 Mustang convertible, and a silver 15 Mustang GT, and a very sharp and rumbling gray Crown Vic LX Sport....
  18. I had an Atari console back in the day, and have a Dreamcast and PS1. Haven't used them in many years. I may be the only one of my peers that was never a big gamer....
  19. As far as the original subject, I've never gotten hung up on brand A vs brand B arguments. I've found there are cars from most brands that I find appealing, and every vehicle I've owned--domestic or import- has had its pros and cons, some more than others.
  20. Yeah, I just don't have stomach for it, I guess . I have no interest in wrenching on a car, but I love driving. I love reliability.
  21. The funny thing about old English cars is they often were unreliable even when new. My ex-brother in law #1 had a Triumph TR6 he had bought when it was a couple years old...o remember when the car was a few years old he was constantly working on it, fixing something was broken or out of adjustment. What I like about modern sports cars like the Miata is you get the fun driving experience without all the misery of old British cars.
  22. Neat kit and subject.
  23. I wasn't hating on them, just an observation on Yelp's staff. Personally, being in the tech industry and always being interested in the latest gadgets, computers and all things modern in general, I find that I relate more to younger people than the typical crabby, living in the past older folks one encounters in life ( and especially in this hobby)
  24. I've driven cars with airbags for 20+ years, never had a problem with them....
