  1. I started out with BASIC on a Commodore...then Pascal in high school on a TRS 80...had CompuServe dialup also. These days, I do most programming in Java, primarily working on business applications and corporate websites. The mathematical foundations of computing and logic of programs is what got me interested back in the day....
  2. Sharp..nice weathering job
  3. Thought it was 1/24th as it is a RoG kit..
  4. Ya...it's a great business to be in, at times frustrating, but often a lot of fun..I got started fiddling w/ computers as a kid in the 80s...
  5. I can remember them about as low as $5, probably sale prices, in the early 80s at K-Mart and similar stores.
  6. Yes, some of the older issues of the AMT '57 Fairlane had custom taillights similar to the '58 Edsel wagon parts. IIRC, the AMT '57 was a possible reissue this or last year but didn't happen..
  7. Hmm...the Monogram F150 was only available in a 4x4 stepside. Revell, though, did make a Snap Tite regular short bed one back then...
  8. Saw a beautiful current style BMW 7-series Alpina B7 in Alpina Blue..Alpina is one of my favorite tuner companies. Speaking of tuners, I also saw a otherwise stock looking 3 series sedan w/ a 'Junction Produce' decal...Junction Produce is a Japanese tuning house, I wonder if some in the US would think it was the name of a rural farmers market..
  9. see the Revell 1st quarter 2015 thread.
  10. The wagon looks neat. I can use another 80 F150 and the ZL1. Still hoping they took up the 14-15 Z-28.
  11. Same drivel over and over. Old guys pining for the past. Can't go back.....I'm going to stay in the modern world. I like it here...wallowing in nostalgia isn't going to get you to the future....I like my old kits, but new releases of new subjects are the future...
  12. Pretty sure this kit was only offered as a 4x4.
  13. Blah blah blah blah..same old, same old. The past is gone, get over it and move on....
  14. Yes, I'd assume it's the '80 F150 Ranger...I can't see the point of a new tool of the compact one since AMT did that one 20 years ago..
  15. Some variations of their existing tooling would also be nice to see, like a Mini Countryman or Traveller, a VW pickup or double cab pickup, etc.. Some other new tool items I'd love to see would include a '50s vintage Land Rover or a '60s-70s Ford Transit van or pickup.
  16. The Trumpeter kit chassis is probably the weakest part of the kit..rather flat and lacking in detail. The AMT '67 is what I've thought of using, though the AMT '65-66 Mustangs I've built I've stuck w/ the stock chassis..
  17. Hmm... I set that, and it works fine now. Thanks. Using IE11 on Win 8.1 after giving up on Chrome (it's been very flaky for me on 8.1).
  18. The transmission is in the rear, so that's a torque tube attached to the engine block..(reply to post #2, but the quote feature doesn't work on IE11)
  19. Definitely will be watching it today..and the NASCAR race, and the Broncos-Patriots game--all are on roughly the same time this afternoon.
  20. Nice. Rescues/adoptions are great...5 of the 6 dogs we have are local rescues....
  21. I'd love any of those...I'd especially like to see the Citroen DS and SM. Other iconic Europeans I'd love see include t h e Mercedes-Benz 6.3, 6.9 and 450 SL. Or a pagoda roof 250SL. Or how about an early 70s Ford Granada like in The Sweeney?
  22. Yes. I don't have a convertible, but enjoy being able to put the windows down and open the sunroof....I probably drive w the AC on 8 months a year...
  23. Yeah, fall is definitely the start of convertible season here in Phoenix.
  24. Local Chevy store got in at least 2 of the new Colorados, they had two out front this morning--a red one and a black one--both 4x4 crew cabs...pretty sharp looking. Also saw two Panamera Turbos (white w/ black wheels and silver) and 3 more Teslas.
