  1. Definitely interested in cougars and 60s-70s full size cars like the Olds 88 and LTD.
  2. I haven't updated my iPhone 5s or iPad yet. Going to wait a week or so....
  3. Good question. My ancestry includes Scots, English and Welsh. Been there once, beautiful country...want to see more of it.
  4. Historic event. It's fascinating to put the size in perspective. Scotland has a smaller population than Arizona and about 1/4 the land area.
  5. Maybe in a parallel universe JoHan is still in business and thriving.
  6. Loads of Euro subjects I'd love to see in 1/24th. Vintage: Citroen DS Citroen SM 70s Mercedes 450SEL or 6.9 60s-70s Mercedes large coupe or convertible. SE 80s Mercedes 500/560SEL Modern: Audi A5/S5 Audi A7/S7 BMW M3 BMW M6 Mercedes CLS
  7. I think the top edge of the rear quarter window needs to come back a bit...in the 1:1 photo, it looks like the front and back edges of the C-pillar are relatively parallel to each other..i.e. the front edge of the C-pillar on the sedan is more vertical than it is on the hardtop.
  8. Nice...the Cadillac DTS has it under the rear seat..bottom cushion is removable to access it. I've had a couple of cars w/ the battery in the trunk behind removable panels.
  9. I remember those..an example of bad design..they tried to do a cab forward design with an absurdly large windshield that covered the engine partially...would be interesting to compare the dimensions of the windshield on those vs the 5th gen car.
  10. Yes, in any career you have to start out w the basics and work your way to more complex or higher responsibility positions...a path from novice to master. It seems the age old apprentice system for craftsmen and trades is no longer around, or people aren't willing to put in the effort today? A strong, sustainable economy requires a lot of different skill sets. Seems to be many shortages in some areas today.
  11. It pays to be prepared...had too many stopped up toilets in the past. I think I use too much paper..and I do like spicy food
  12. Looking sweet...great color, love the stance and the engine!
  13. Saw a white Cadillac XTS stretch limo, first one I'd seen. Also saw a clean silver blue Porsche 944 w/ gold BBS wheels.
  14. Yeah, that's always fun...I keep a plunger on each side of my toilets, one of those long screw thingys with a crank, and several bottles of Liquid Plumr nearby...
  15. I'm a software engineer...I DO create things, but they exist within computers and computer networks..in the virtual world. And the job market values my skills. STEM skills (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) are in high demand and the market puts a high value on them...software is increasingly important to control the devices and systems of the modern world. I went to college and grad school, I'm certainly not going to be employed doing physical labor.
  16. Software engineer....in my cube slinging code, doing design documents, working on technical tasks.. Pretty beige in there.. My background for the screens is more colorful:
  17. 71 Buick Riviera 74 Dodge Monaco 68-69 Mercury Cyclone 85-86 Mustang LX 5.0 03-04 Mercury Marauder/ 98-11 Ford Crown Vic
  18. Saw a dark brown Aston Martin DB9 with a dark blue Porsche 911 S cabrio (991 generation) behind it in traffic. Saw 3 Porsche Panameras. And for something more mundane, a beige '80s Mercury Lynx 5dr in very clean shape.
  19. Peace Sells....But Who's Buying?
  20. Front looks like it would have to be scratchbuilt. Rear bumper also reminds me of how a beetle bumper would look smoothed out and mounted flush.
  21. I'm happy w the work my yard guys and pool guy do. I pay what I think is a fair and reasonable amount for their services, and it's not the type of work I have interest in doing myself. Same w car repairs, I'm not a mechanic, prefer to go to a reputable local shop.
  22. One thing that was better in the 90s IMO is there were many full detail (and snap) kits of then-current subjects. There wasn't as much focus on 'nostalgia' (old) subjects as there is today.
  23. Postal Service just dropped off a package I'd ordered from Amazon Friday night..I'd heard they were doing Sunday package deliveries, but this is the first I've seen of it...cool.
