  1. Haven't had a print newspaper sub in about 15 years...but I do read the news from various sources every day, whether on my phone, tablet or laptop...
  2. Ironically, he lives right at the edge of Amish country in e Ohio.... he was online for a few years back in the dialup era but lost interest, I guess....
  3. Some of the Tamiya mercs were reissued in the last 5-6 years, the jeeps have never been AFAIK...
  4. Yeah, my brother is like that....and only 65. I have two cousins (same age) that are online and we stay in touch through Facebook.
  5. They reissue old kits all the time...esp. aoshima.
  6. Yes, though it doesn't make sense to do a 20yr old subject if the target market are kids...
  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Sunny I had heard of the Sunny (Datsun 1200 in the US in the 70s) but not this pickup version...was sold as a ute in Australia into the 80s and as a bakkie in South Africa for 37 years!
  8. The Revell 4th quarter new releases flyer posted here, on FB, elsewhere shows a photo of a '95-97 CV.
  9. 'New Mold' probably means a new mold--new tooling...it wouldn't make sense for Revell to issue a kit from the Lindberg tooling since Round 2 owns Lindberg...as far as the why of this particular subject and vintage, who knows? Revell has their reasons for what product they choose to make.
  10. sleep in, get in lots of pool time, watch Indy Car finale tomorrow night, NASCAR on Sunday...maybe do a day trip up north Monday.
  11. Yeah, the La Ferrari is old news now that Tamiya and Revell have both done it.. Porsche 918, McLaren P1 or Lambo Hurrican would be most likely..though I'd like to see something out of left field like the Pagani Huayra
  12. The MCW body is pretty good.
  13. I suspect 2015 will see a mix of reissues, modified reissues, and new tools.
  14. RoG did the poll on the site thing recently.
  15. Guess they haven't heard of lugnut locks
  16. Nice to hear Revell made some tooling corrections....iirc, this is the first time the GT has been reissued.
  17. No idea...I think it could be a Mexican Chevy, as they did sell the Corsa there (as the Chevrolet Chevy), but this had the distinct v-eed Vauxhall grille and badging...
  18. Saw an eclectic mix today...white CTS-v coupe w/ black wheels, a very clean blue & silver early (85?) Chevy Sprint (before the Geo version)--haven't seen one of those in years, amazing to see a 30 yr old econobox that clean... saw a pale green early '00s vintage Vauxhall Corsa 5dr (what is that doing in AZ???), and a very clean pale yellow '75-76 Caddy Sedan de Ville, and a black 2nd gen 6dr Escalade..
  19. I'm pretty sure a diecast Aztek is coming from greenlight
  20. People are lazy. Won't take the effort to find an existing thread.
  21. Checked the rpp lhs last night. Didn't have any of the new releases yet.
  22. Looking forward to windows down, sunroof open, A/C off weather in 6-8 weeks or so...
  23. Yeah, I spend most of my time in the flat urban sprawl, so mountains are always in the distance or seen from a plane. Once in a while I get out of the metro area and into the mountains..(though we do have a number of them within the Phoenix city limits).
  24. There are big pointy mountains in the West. They block the signals, I think...
  25. There are definitely places in the West like that..the population density is nothing like it is in Illinois... and even if there are stations closer, 12000-14000 ft mountains probably block the signal (it's not always flat out here..
