  1. The Modelhaus also has the MPC Charger 500 bumper/grille. I built the '80s MPC issue straight from the box back in the day, I have another of the later reissues to build eventually--probably will kitbash w/ a Revell '68/69 Charger, AMT '68 Road Runner or '69 GTX for the more detailed chassis and engine...
  2. Yes, a full detail 70 would have been preferable. Don't see the point in another 69 since the Revell is readily available.
  3. My sister has had USAA for the last 15 years or so (ex was a veteran). Says the rates and service are great.
  4. I don't know about the whole office, but my department all made it in yesterday..incl. one guy that has a 2hr commute--took 3 hours instead. One guy left early to go chop up a tree that fell on his house and another went home to deal w/ flooding. Sky looks like it's going to rain again..
  5. I guess the haboobs could be described as a dry rain..
  6. Sharp build.
  7. There was some water in spots still on Camelback this afternoon, but mostly mud and dirt out on the road in the areas where it was underwater this morning (around 54th St). My pool is pretty full.
  8. Saw water on the commute this morning. One of the flooded cars I saw was a white Chrysler Crossfire
  9. I wondered also. Googled the name. Singer Songwriter. Wrote a song called It Never Rains In Southern California
  10. Wet here today. I heard some parts of the Valley had 4-5 inches since it started at about 2 am. And it is september
  11. It's hard to see in the bagged pic, but the box art pic shows the tunneled rear window.
  12. The next-to-the last one would look good with the side pipes removed. The rest need a lot more work to uncrapify them..
  13. That makes sense, though--printed catalogs are an artifact of the pre-internet era--they don't make much sense today.
  14. There are still quite a few of the old XJs around in Colorado, at least that's how I remember it..they were very popular there and had a long run...
  15. I was referring to car aero...the old guys into t buckets, 32 Fords, fifties cars. Etc aren't into aerodynamics.
  16. Airfix is an old British brand, USAirfix was their US brand briefly around 1980.
  17. It would make sense that they pay attention to online comments, people don't write letters to companies today like they may have in olden days.
  18. Some like the mustang were sold as Lindberg kits 30 years ago.
  19. Remember, most of the people here are into 30s-60s cars....a world from before aerodynamics...
  20. WRXes are AWD, not FWD.
  21. . True. I'm not sure what they mean. Something from long ago.
  22. Not to mention no decals are included. It kind of defeats the purpose of a prepaint if they have to be stripped and repainted.
  23. My commute goes through Paradise Valley and Scottsdale..I guess in Chicagoland equivalents it would be like going through North Shore towns like Lake Forest or Winnetka--high dollar real estate areas, probably some high dollar cars there.
  24. Saw an eclectic group of cars yesterday morning on the way to work--white McLaren MP4-12C spyder, red Ferrari 458 spyder, black Cadillac XLR-v, and a black/silver Rolls Royce Wraith--the first of the new big RR coupes I've seen--stunning.
  25. Revell's IT staff must be still on vacay...it's the 3rd and they still haven't updated the carousel on the main page (scrolling photos of new releases), still shows the August releases.
