  1. Check with Norm at Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland - at one time he sold Firestone dirt tires in 3 widths plus a 1-piece ribbed front tire, both of which would be perfect for this.
  2. Just checked out all 87 pages of this build thread. My hat's off to you Chris, a truly awesome build and a great tutorial for us wanna-be's
  3. Did the Lenco-equipped funny cars use a clutch pedal or lever? If so, does anyone have a photo or 2 to share? Also, when did roof hatches come into common usage among funny cars?
  4. Thanks for sharing, Chris - those also have possibilities!
  5. Looks like medical tape is the way to go, thanks for the suggestion and the photos
  6. One of these is on my "one of these days" list:
  7. Was wondering what material my fellow modelers use to create drag chute lines, as illustrated below:
  8. Anyone know of a rein-caster making a wheel similar to the front wheel pictured below?
  9. At 1 time there was a corrected front end (without the side 'lumps' and bobbed fenders) for the AMT '33 Willys. I'm thinking it was from Drag City Casting. That website is long gone and the domain is now for sale. Does anyone know if these are still available?
  10. Norm produces some of the highest-quality resin parts available. You won't be sorry! The Kurtis nose looks awesome, wish I'd thought of that...
  11. Norm at Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland was selling copies of the Chris Etzel 270 Offy - a very accurate rendition of the big Offy. Might want to check with him and see if it's still available.
  12. I was hoping to find some tires similar to the first one pictured here, used by sand & mud drag race vehicles The Dick Cepek Giant Pullers from the Orage Blossom Spl. kit are used almost exclusively on 4-wheel drive pulling trucks. Today's 2-wheel drive pulling trucks use an taller tire, close to 48" in diameter
  13. Anyone cast tires similar to these?
  14. Anyone know of a resin-caster that produces a fuel injection manifold for a small-block ford (similar to the photo below):
  15. Been looking around for a resin-caster producing 4x4 parts (front axles, transfer cases, etc). Any assistance would be appreciated
  16. I've seen lots of great suggestions on here...here's mine other than these Aussie V8 Supercars I'd like to see an all-new tooling of this: perhaps followed by a Thames and Prefect - along the lines of Revell's '40 Willys series (vintage gasser/modern street rod kits) and a newly tooled version of this: ideally, with the parts included to model something along the lines of this: and this:
  17. The Australian V8 Supercar cars, 1 of each of the 2 brands.
  18. Not necessarily a complete copy of the Aurora engine - just a picked up a 1/16 Revell dragster kit and would like to 'back-date' it with a 392. If there is a 'converion kit' for the Revell 426 that would work as well.
  19. Do any of resin casters offer a 1/16th scale 392 Hemi?
  20. Any word through the grapevine on a release date for these kits?
  21. Cannot wait for the midgets - haven't been this excited about a new release since the Monogram sprint cars were initially released! I still have an unfinished Etzel resin kit-guess I will break out that decal sheet and do multiple versions! A few 'inspiration photos'...
  22. Just cracked open the MPC re-released Fire Truck C-cab show car. I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with a well-detailed Ford 289/302 to replace the less-than-accurate engine in the kit (SBC with Cobra valve covers). The only one that comes to mind is the one in the Revell Buttera Model T street rod kits. Anyone out there know of another reasonably-available one?
