Nice frame work. Digging it, but please go shiny

Very nice build.

Incredible build, but what really sells it is the great photography. I wasn't sure if I was looking at a real car or a model. -
Very nice build. Nice detail work

Man, this is really coming together. I'm intrigued by the bendable plastic rod as well.

I've gotten in the habit of cleaning my bench every time I complete a project. During a project it's mass chaos because as I'm looking for parts for one thing I'll get distracted by something else, so I feel the need to reset after a build

Moebius 61 Ventura exhaust system locator holes
Mr. Metallic replied to Dave Metzner's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Thank you to Mr. Metzner for being so up front about the problem. However, most of us wont see it as a problem, and many would even prefer it that way. Maybe simply adding a note in the directions for the builder would be easier than modifying the tooling? -
Very well done. And for all those Rat Roaster kit haters out there...see, the kit is good for something.

Looking good Tom, nice color combo. This kit builds up really nicely. Here's the one I built when the kit came out -
Looking good. I'm really digging the seat.

I recently received this kit over the weekend as a gift from a friend. It is complete, but the decals are a little rough, so I'm ordering replacements from Scale Auto details. I'll also be using the big M+H slicks from the recent AMT parts pack, and the wire wheels set from Replicas and Miniatures of Md. My question is the paint scheme. Looks like there's an orange fogged edge that runs around most of the body. Any thoughts on the best way to simulate that. I'm not really experience with airbrushing, but if nobody has any other thoughts I just may have to try it. It's only plastic after all. Also, does anyone sell a cogged belt material for supercharger belts?
-
Since everything is exposed once you flip the body open, the time you are taking to make things more accurate is really going to pay off. Looking forward to more progress.

Also, if a one piece bed doesn't fit (like you have pictured) you could use the multi piece beds from either the AMT 50 or 55/56 Chevy's.

So, if I wanted to make a wagon out of the new Mobius kit, is there something close I can use to make the roof. I can do some minor work to posts and pillars and lengthen/widen the roof if necessary. I have done some image searching Out of the stuff I tried on hand here's what I found. I tried a AMT 65 Chevelle wagon, an AMT 63 Nova wagon (Boss Nova) and a Johan 62 Olds wagon. All need widened and other refinements to fit. Are there any other wagon roofs I should take a look at (other than expensive resin bodies that I would just be hacking up?)

I was hoping the 30 coupe would be Q2. I will get several. Tempered excitement over the 48 Coupe. The stock convertible was a really nice kit, and the chopped coupe was a great parts kit. Hopefully they get the body right on this stock sedan. Good looking group of releases. Thank you Revell

I don't want to hijack this thread, so admin feel free to delete. I post from fotki all the time. In fotki, right click on the image, click copy. Then on this forum click in your message just like you type words and right click, then click paste. -
I swear I've seen this somewhere before. Love the chop and the custom touches. And what's not to like about Astros and narrow whites?
-
Didn't this same thing happen back in the late 90's with Ferrari, where they withdrew all their licensing and made Tamiya the "official" producer of Ferrari kits?

New paints? I have seen lots of new Polycarbonate Only paints this past year, hopefully they're making additions to the regular plastic paint line. -
Hey Tom. I miss being able to see your projects all the time. Glad I can follow them here now. Looking forward to seeing more of this "ugly duckling"
