I'll surely be watching. I think that Revell lengthened the frame in the engine area to accommodate a V8 more easily. But I could be wrong

Got some more work done on this over the weekend. Got the removable flat tow bar put in place. Also got the radius arms and friction shocks mounted (shocks not pictured) Also got the rear suspension finalized. Homemade radius rods and friction shocks from the Roth Outlaw And here is the homemade windshield. It wont be sitting at quite such a radical rake as pictured, but will be raked. Also made a bunch of "fiddly bits" like the steering column, hand brake and such. Just a few items left on a short punch list and then it's time to start painting

Thanks for the advice. It must be my camera because I take all the pics under the same lighting and camera position. I just move the subject around. I'm working on a better setup

I've had this artwork hanging at my workbench forever. I was going to build it for the Weesner Challenge a long time ago and had collected parts, even the cool body conversion Les Gibbons did to replicate it. But, it just never got going. Then while I was building my first model based on the new Revell 29 A I had the extra frame from that kit sitting on my bench and the wheels started to turn. This was a week before the Fall KKIM meet, and I thought that maybe this would be a model I could get done in a week. Well, I did it. I went back after the meet and fixed a couple things, so here it is. Body by Jimmy Flintstone. Shortened box from an AMT 25 T. Tires from my parts box. Wheelcovers from Rep+Min of Md. Engine from a Revell 49 Merc with valve covers and exhaust from a Revell parts pack Caddy. Grille shell from MCG. Steel wire and fishing line for fuel lines. Front and rear axles from a Revell 32. Radius rods from a 29 A kit. I just noticed the holes in the floorpan, oops. Oh well. Parts box gauge pods. The rest of the interior was modified from the 29 A kit. This kit was a blast to build. Thanks to Revell for giving us such a great canvas to work with.

Yes, Dale used it in a giveaway contest. He did not crash it himself. The winner hit a deer with it, and sent it back to Gas Monkey for the bodywork

I really wish someone would do an accurate 1/25 scale 34 Ford, along the lines of the new 29 and Revells longstanding 32 series. From what I'm told the Revells 1/16 34 3 window and Tub were really nice, just the wrong scale for most of the market. The AMT 34 5 window and the Revell snap 3 window are OK, but both have their own accuracy issues. I think a modern tooling full detail 34 would be a welcome addition to somebodies catalog...

Experimented with brass a bit to see if I could make a stronger assembly. It's not soldered, but just glued it really helps. It also helps me keep straighter lines when I'm sanding. So, the suspension is dialed in, and I've created the engine mounting points. I was surprised that even though I was using a V8-60 the engine was still to big to fit under the hood. Now I just need to figure out what to do for the interior.

It's a washer used in the factory I work in. The notches in it allow it to flex when inserted into a tube and then can't be pulled back out I know, that's the idea

I haven't posted a WIP on this forum in quite some time, so here goes Just finished a build last weekend and was cleaning up my bench, ready to go back to the Revell 29 A I started awhile back. But, with a clear bench my mind started to wander and I started fitting other T and A bodies I had around onto the frames from the new 29 A. I struck upon 2 that I was really digging, and now one of them... well I just can't keep my hands off of it. It's a JF track t body on the revel 29 A deuce rails. I chopped the nose off and substituted the nose off a revel Midget (how nice of them to give us two in the box) Spent some time modifying the front end to lower it, next is the rear. Decided to make my own wheels. These are based on some washers we have at work, and I'm modifying other kit parts to flesh them out a bit. Tires are the fronts from the Orange Crate, and rears are Rep+Min of Md track tires.

I'm assuming that's a suicide front end hiding under that nose? How did you lower the rear? I'm also working on a T on the Revell A frame. Similar body to use, but it's the streamlined one from JF. I'm having a lot of fun with it. I'll post some pics soon Love the stance on yours Dennis. I'm sure it will be a knockout when complete.

I thought these things came from the factory with a blower sticking out of the hood. But seriously, very tasteful and nicely executed. Well done

The color combo looks great. May I suggest adding some thin trim around the vinyl top, made out of Evergreen? It will give you a nice clean break and give you something to put the BMF on.

TIm, this is my favorite of the new A that you have built. I can tell you're having a ton of fun with this kit, and so are a lot of others. I currently have 2 on my bench, hope to have one finished by Saturday for our local show. Can't wait until we see some aftermarket stuff for this, but for now I've loving just kitbashing.

I love the two-tone scheme on this. You don't see a lot of that on rods except on the fender-body. It really jumps out at you.

I'm glad that people use my album to see what Norm offers. It hasn't been updated in a year because I haven't bought anything lately. All the pctures are of stuff that I bought. I would love to add pics by other people to fill out as much of the full catalog as possible. What I have is just a small portion.

Remember how quickly the Revell 32 3 Window and speedwagon came out, within a couple months of each other, and then the roadster within a year after that? (I think) With so much work already done on the 30/31 coupe obviously done, I bet we see it within the next 6 months (fingers crossed)
