  1. Nice save with on that body. You'd never know there had ever been a problem.....but, as they say, "It's no hill for a climber." Great job. Later-
  2. Those are nice so far. Where did you get the wheels for the Ford in the last photo? Later-
  3. I'm with Pappy. I like the overall look and think that the wheels go quite well with it. Keep it up. Later-
  4. Nice work. BTW- what kit did the air cleaner come from? Later-
  5. Been kind of slow going on my builds lately. I got a little filler and primer work done. Still a long ways to go. I've got to get back to my buddy's house and see about getting some interior parts. Later-
  6. Very nice looking. I like the modifications you made. Beautiful paint so far. Later-
  7. I'd like to get that Jota kit. Later-
  8. Picked up a resin 36 Ford 3 window from a friend of mine. He said he had two and would let me have one. What a friend! Later-
  9. About 10 years ago, while at a thrift store, I found a 1968 issue of the Paddy Wagon kit that was incomplete but in the box was two of the Tom Daniels trading cards. One was of the Sand Crab dune buggy and the other was the Tijuana Taxi. Also in the box was a complete Pyro BSA Lightning motorcycle kit. All for $10. I sold the two cards seperately on EBay for $22 and I think I traded the Paddy Wagon box for a kit. The BSA kit I still have waiting to build it. Later-
  10. Nice looking build. I'd love to have one of those cabs. Great look for the interior. Later-
  11. Thanks guys. I was really excited about this build once I found the pic in the magazine. it is completely different than the traditional Willys builds. I spent some tome today filling and sanding on the roof and tulip panel. Later-
  12. I'm in a chopping mood now since it went so well on my 40 Ford. I found a magazine article with a custom 41 Willys and I really liked the look of it. So I sat down tonight and started this. The chop is very slight. I only took 3 mm out of the a pillars. Here it is next to a stock body. I tucked the top of the rear window inside and the bottom outside of flush to add a bit more angle to the rear window area without having to chop it more. Tomorrow I will fill the areas with strips of plastic and putty and sand it all smooth. I just wanted to do something a bit different with the Willys. Later-
  13. Yes, here is an idea. Send it to me. That looks great. Have you done any other bodies? Later-
  14. This is frustrating that my posts for this build will not fit my screen. I am ditching this one and starting a new one for this build. Later-
  15. I think I know why now. I have been taking the pictures with the phone turned sideways. Later-
  16. What happened to my post? Why are the pictures showing all stretched out? It wasn't like this before. How do I fix it? Later-
  17. I worked a bit on this tonight. I have the chassis ready for paint. I Z'ed and C'rd the rear of the frame and lowered the The wheels are steel runs with 53 Caddy caps (looks like I will have to rechrome them). I also I also spent a couple hours tonight cleaning up the body. pp Later-
  18. I always wondered why this kit never went over so well. I think that this is only the second build of it that I have seen. Yours is looking great so far. Later-
  19. Years ago (about 1997) I was at a Value Village store in Alaska and found a beat up Revell 59 Impala kit that had been opened and taped shut. I picked it up and the pbox was much heavier than it should be so I assumed someone had left a couple paint cans or tools inside. They wanted $1.00. I figured the wheels and tires were worth that much so I took a chance. When I got out to the car I quickly opened it to see what I had scored. The kit was still sealed inside. The "paint can" was a $30 Kershaw folding knife. SCORE! I still haven't built the kit. Later-
  20. Boy, that is some nice painting there. I really like the work on the Mercy. Keep it up. Later-
  21. Great to hear. I've looked at it many times over the years but this is the first time I have owned it. Looks detailed well enough. The only trouble I see is the chrome is a bit thin in places but may be fine with a blackwash. Later-
  22. Still looking great. Still making me want to finish mine. I pulled it out the other day and no change. The top is still taped off. Later-
  23. That's looking good. I think you made the right choice on the wheels. They suit the car nicely. Later-
  24. This one may sound crazy, but I want to see the Monogram 79 Indy Pace Car reissued. I had it when it was new and after a few years I gave the kit to a friend who wanted it. Since then the kit seems to either go for crazy prices or I miss out. I have two Mustangs that I was acquainted with back then that I want to do models of. That kit and too many others. Later-
  25. I stopped by my LHS on the way home tonight and found this on the shelf as a consignment for $5. All there, so I couldn't pass it up. They also had the AMT 59 Vette for the same price but I could do without it. Later-
