  1. I see someone answered already. But herte is a link to plate design from Colorado. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...ficial%26sa%3DG
  2. Ahhh Hypermilers! It's fun to fill their rear view mirror with the chrome of a Peterbilt on the highway.
  3. I really like the Heller kits. I'm working on a Alpine A210 right now. This was the same model that was in a AMT double kit along with a Gordini Renault. Has vinyl seats! Nice detail, but you need to have patience and be able to re-engineer some things. I am looking for the Gordini to go with it.
  4. Opaque can be colored plastic. Opaque means cannot be seen through. I've seen transparent ones on old Lindberg 1/32nd scale cars.
  5. Floor Jack? I don't need no stinkin' floor jack!
  6. I saw that sight. How far the Kat has sunk. From AMT ads to a trashy rag. Except for the Kat, everything else he did looks stolen from other cartoonists. R. Crumb, Max Fleischer and others.
  7. Wikipedia is a bit off as usual. Actually fuzzy dice were originally a novelty given as prizes at carnival midway games. Since real dice are usually seen in pairs, it made sense to string them together. Some unknown just slung them over his rear view and it caught on.
  8. I would select a cheaper thinner brand. It works better and the cheaper stuff in more flexible. Reynolds is very thick.
  9. I really liked how the news program kept filming different model kits on the shelves. That in itself could develop interest.
  10. Somehow recently the foil itself was different in as much as it would curl when pulled off and it would dull a blade with just inches sliced, then it would rip. I find that by getting a cheap store brand foil and a spray can of adhesive like the stuff from craft stores with the Mona Lisa on the can or some other light adhesive spray, you have better foil and it's cheaper and it lasts much longer.
  11. Not any more. Different mags find different ways to gain revenue in these tough times. SA charges club listings now, MCM raised their cover price. Different ways to the same end I guess.
  12. Wow! That's somethin' else!
  13. The car on the Little Deuce Coupe album. I finally got to see the real car at the car show this month.
  14. If I print that, will it print in the correct size? It seems too large for my printer.
  15. It's also due to the falling value of the dollar. Those oh so vaulted oil prices we see in the news is usually midland medium crude from Texas. Other sources of oil can be higher. I'm thinking my stash of over a thousand unbuilt kits has increased in value now. The store is now open.
  16. That definitely is the rear bumper on the front. Yer directshuns got it wrong. But it turned out right. You need a huge bumper up front for hater hunting.
  17. Sometimes, Evilone, the hearse is the coroners car in small towns. The Mortician does coroner duties.
  18. I like diverse model subjects like the traction engine. No different than seeing a vintage truck model.
  19. Methinks his chili fixin's have destroyed a few remaining brain cells he has left.
  20. I know Mike Kollver. He's in our model club. I couldn't work under that pressure. They usually give you a short time period to complete the build. That can be problematic as Mike would sometimes use an existing build in his collection just to make the deadline. Then they have to be shipped to where ever they do the photography. Awesome job but very demanding.
  21. Hmmm, I drive your car's little half powered brother, the HHR Panel. I guess we wait to see what the mods say.
