That car is awesome! I have an original Pyro version that I want to deal with. I want to do some work on the grille. It bothers me in some way because of it's "flatness" or lack of texture. You did a wonderful job of this one.
Happy New Year! I like the sound of the bagpipes, too. At christmas, one of the church members came with his bagpipes and played them during service. He even donned the kilt.
One of my best friends had built a car for the past two years. Here is one from the Nelson Ledges race. Mullet mobile madness transformed into a Van Halen guitar paint scheme.

Please note that one team even secured a Russian Lada for the race and had strange Russian uniforms.
Head to a good artist shoppe and buy good quality art brushes. Soft natural bristles are what you want. Get a lot of differnt sizes and shapes for different work. I have some nice Windsor & Newton brushes from England that I like. There are other brands. Might find these at Micheals.
I cannot believe with the availability of cements and glues out there that someone would obtain such a hazardous chemical to work with. Wasn't phosgene gas used in war as a chemical agent to kill?
We don't put chains on our cars in Wisconsin. When I encountered the chain stop outside of Truckee, California. I told the CHP guy I was from Wisconsin and I know how to drive in snow....he wasn't going for it, I had to rent the damned chains.
I have to comment on the door scribe line. Scribe a line that follows the slant of the targa bar all the way to the rocker panel. Just a straight slanted line, no curve to it.
Of course he's gonna say lose wore weight. Good on ya for not winding up with diabetes. I have it and it ain't no fun. When you try and lose weight, the diabetes medicine will fight you all the way.
I went to see the doctor today for my quarterly check up. We talked of my weight loss progress and in two years (as far back as his computer would go) I lost a whopping 50 pounds. that's a lot of avoirdupois, people. I had the goal to get under 400 (yeah, I'm a fat arse) by this visit and I did. i got to 399. I was 396 last week but Thanksgiving happened.
It seems back in my foggy memory, some resin caster did a Matador NASCAR body. That would be the basis for your four door police car with a bit of work.
This guy scratched one from JOHANs Rebel...at least you wouldn't have to modify the tail light panel.

I just acquired a PYRO version of this car and now I am looking for the Monogram Lincoln to scarf the engine and other bits. I want to try and recarve the detail back into the grille areas. It looks too plain and flat as is. I noticed you re-scribed the door lines at the top to a more straight appearance. I was thinking of boring out the headlight bezels to accept those railroad lights (MV I think).
The kit of the decade is..............................................................................
..............................................
What ever new tooled kit that you thought was THE greatest thing you ever saw and you went out and bought a box load of them. Very subjective thing if you ask me. My choice for KOTD is such a turd, but I was so happy to have it available and it ain't even a new tool.
Barris had nothing to do with that car. You can even see the link in the post by Bluesman Mark that the model kit box has Darryl's signature on it. Everything Barris had that was made into kits had his name emblazoned on the box. The MPC kit refers to no one.
