  1. Plunder away. I just wish I had a better camera. I'm going to create a Camaro version from the other Sportwagon kit I have. The Revell Streetburner kit does have a wider body and slightly different lines that will be an issue.
  2. Here is the latest project I'm working on. I am backdating a Sportwagon to 1970. Methinks the Airfix/Lindberg people did a quick copy of Monogram's old Firebird as the shapes are similar and fit very well together.
  3. Yeah, I think so. It will represent an importer of JDM classics in the US. What a nice way to showcase ones service than with a JDM truck. I now have to build all my Japanese car kits! Worky worky!
  4. Yeah, I bought one of these rigs when I saw it in the hobby shop. The engine in the kit is chromed and I need to know what color the engine was. The body looks to be around an early 80s design. The truck is a FUSO KFV-214 JR with an auto transport trailer added.
  5. That is one nice model. I had one when I was younger but it got played with extensively and became broken
  6. Ken's fur is about just over a buck. I think even buying two would be cheaper than the Martha Stewart brand
  7. Sorry Andy, we're not buying that warming poo. Sure climate changes, has been for aeons. Just ask a dinosaur. Whether it is man influenced now is open for debate. It's already been discovered that global warming researchers "cooked" the data to keep the grant money rolling in.
  8. That ridge along the side of the car, people assumed that was a chrome rub strip because some Novas had a trim piece over it. But it is an actual ridge stamped in the steel.
  9. I am amused by the swirly colored plastic that was under the chrome bits.
  10. That color is grreat!
  11. Yes, the 69 was done first. The 68 still uses the 69 dash and interior. I think all they did was change the grille and added a vent window.
  12. You can try any supplier to the hydraulic/gas/electronics trade. We've used Swedgelok bits in our plant for some projects. Get to know someone in that industry and see if their purchaser can get samples sent to you. Sometimes it works if you need a small batch of something. http://www.swagelok.com/search/find_products_home.aspx?SEARCH=/id-10002605/type-1 They do sell the spares.
  13. Could always use the lower case "L". As in Mustang ll
  14. Yeah, but it's a demo derby car. Would it matter?
  15. You could always modify the Otaki 74 Thunderbird kit. kinda over sized but doable.
  16. Really nice cars, Krishna.
  17. Nice builds. i don't think I've ever seen a Mustang with a clear lens in the tail light.
  18. Very nice car. How hard was it to remove the hood trim bar from the grille casting? IIRC that was all one piece.
  19. That car is awesome! I have an original Pyro version that I want to deal with. I want to do some work on the grille. It bothers me in some way because of it's "flatness" or lack of texture. You did a wonderful job of this one.
  20. I'm calling for the ban hammer
  21. Happy New Year! I like the sound of the bagpipes, too. At christmas, one of the church members came with his bagpipes and played them during service. He even donned the kilt.
  22. One of my best friends had built a car for the past two years. Here is one from the Nelson Ledges race. Mullet mobile madness transformed into a Van Halen guitar paint scheme. http://picasaweb.google.com/NilesStonne/24HoursOfLemonsAtNelsonLedges# Please note that one team even secured a Russian Lada for the race and had strange Russian uniforms.
  23. Head to a good artist shoppe and buy good quality art brushes. Soft natural bristles are what you want. Get a lot of differnt sizes and shapes for different work. I have some nice Windsor & Newton brushes from England that I like. There are other brands. Might find these at Micheals.
  24. I cannot believe with the availability of cements and glues out there that someone would obtain such a hazardous chemical to work with. Wasn't phosgene gas used in war as a chemical agent to kill?
