I use oven cleaner, which does require gloves and goggles. Course, it is the fresh scent and does get rid of the undercoat stuff!

I'm bored tonight!

Actually Uncle Buck had a 1975 2 door Mercury Marquis.

Dual wheels

Bah...oh well. In any case, that's the only place I can think of that sells em. -

Haha are the rear wheels separate, solid like the AMT Snap Dodge Ram Dually, or with the outer wheel only like the Ford F-350 kit? -

Yeah, the '92 AMT Dually. -

Modelhaus has them, but they are 13 bucks for an unplated set (with tires). Dunno how much a Canuck would pay. -
Build is going great! RE: tv show I do remember a few months back watching an actual repo show, though I can't remember the name. Operation Repo on the other hand is different. I really wish they would have put it on Comedy Central and touted it as a show similar to Reno 911, in the "fake comedic 'reality' show" category. The fact that they have it on a channel which is touted as "true TV" makes me not want to watch it.

Prius Model Kit - Preorders taken
Jordan White replied to Hornistfuller's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
You know, it is Fujimi so I don't mind that they are building a Prius. Now if it were say Revell or AMT, then I could see the facepalmage. -
If you're going low budget, you should use the cowl hood, but have it primer gray/black. You could say the person bought the aftermarket hood, but didn't have enough to have it painted.

this just made me giggle.,...

You know, I could see that much for the kits if they were complete and sealed. He wants almost 500 bucks for two empty boxes with minor damage on them? Love this part: And -
It was just the 2WD Regular cab F-250 LD (6600 lb GVWR). I'm sure most were either the 7700lb GVWR, the 4WD LD, or the HD, all of which had the 8-lug pattern. The 250 came only with the steel wheels with optional wheel covers. After looking at my brochure, it appears the six-lug trucks used the steel wheels with the hubcaps that only covered the hub and lug nuts.
-
Yup, I have the brochure for the '88 so they are correct style, just wrong lug count (F-250 LD had 6-bolt, F-250 HD had 8-bolt.) And that would be the Revell kit you are referring to. The AMT kit has a decent set of wagon wheels with separate hubs/lug nuts which are also 6-lug. Of course, since they are 1/25th they may scale down to 14" wheels. I know, I'd say it's one of the better decal sheets I've seen in terms of optional decals!

No Krate, but my dad does have a restored 1968(1969?) Schwinn Stingray Fastback with the 5-speed Stick-Shift, in a nice bronze-orange metallic paint. Of course I don't have a pic on my computer though!

Oh the irony, instead of giving it smooth skin, it gave it rough skin!

Haha if you're serious, there are many places that still sell it. If your lhs doesn't have it, check out places such as Micheals and Hobby Lobby (where I got mine from). Otherwise, there are several sites online you can look at.

Better, and the weathering looks great! Only thing I could see an error in is the driver's seat. If the vehicle got muddy while driving, the driver's seat would be clean where a person would be sitting (top of the cushion, and front of the seatback). Also, the steering wheel rim would probably be clean, or at least the mud smudged from moving the hands around. Oh, and the inner wheel wells are too clean. They would have a bunch of dirt and grime in them from the tires spinning.

Dood, where's the pictures?
-
They reissued it again. I got mine from Hobbylinc.com, so I would suggest checking out there first.

Chrome tree looks great (including incorrect 5-bolt wheels), though most of the parts will be stripped anyways. Extended cab: And of course the rest of the parts trees: I don't have the past issue of the F-250, only the F-350 dually, but I assume the kit is the same as the past issue (minus the decals I would believe). I do like that they've included decals for the emblems and driving light covers, since I hated painting them when I was younger. Luckily though they still have the raised script, so I can save the decals for another kit. I love the detail and number of parts they have in this kit, and since it's a truck, the customization options are endless! By the way, I bought this from Hobbylinc, so I don't know what other sites/stores are selling it (though I assume many will be).

Yes you heard right, Monogram has finally decided to once again offer the 1/24th scale Ford F-250 kit, and I was on the ball to get one (I actually preordered back in January! ) Here's the box art, which I rather enjoy. One standard instruction booklet: One very interesting set of decals (love the "for sale" signs and rear window vinyl!) Parts in the box: Clear parts look great: All five tires, which unfortunately are plain (unlike the past issues'). And of course the taillights.

Thing is though, people didn't like the supercharged V6 in the Cougar XR-7, which is why they switched to the V8. If they built the concept to feature the V6 again, it wouldn't make sense. If they were to build a concept on an existing model, they would most likely use the same engine, or something new, not something they already used and dropped due to customer demand.

I finally figured it out
