  1. Saw this interesting ~3/4 scale Kenworth at a local car show a while back.
  2. Too old? Even with the '32 Ford and '57 Bel Air being as popular as they are?
  3. I think it would be awesome to have a '66 Mustang with a body that could be either a fastback, coupe, or convertible along with the parts for a six or eight (or perhaps just stock/custom eight), auto and manual transmission, and a few wheel choices. It would cost a bundle but would certainly be worth it due to the different build options. Plus it is a well known and popular subject. Edit: with what Mark mentioned, it would probably be better off in 1/12 scale.
  4. Did you log out during that minute? I know when you're a guest, you can't see the Rants/Raves section.
  5. Eh, he could always say he installed a set of auto hubs from a later F-150!
  6. Hmm, I think it's a V12 powered, 5-speed geared, 72 galloned Italian military machine with a heart of gold. Of course, this whole thing was ruined, so I fold! Edit: the rhyming was pure coincidence!
  7. Finally got some pics of my dad's and brother's Schwinns. Dad's is a 1968 Schwinn Stingray Fastback 5-speed, restored with period correct tires. Brother's is I believe a 1967. Both together
  8. But those are also considered trucks (at least by me and Nick). Truck is an encompassing term that covers pickups, semis/tractor-trailers, commercial trucks, and even some SUVs/Jeeps. Granted you may think different, but you can't fault him for your definition of a word. In any case, can we please stop the bickering since I'm sure nothing will come of it.
  9. What's up with the interior paint? Did you want to make it look like a sand castle?
  10. Too bad GM didn't offer something like that. Reminds me of the awesome pace car they made out of the Chevy Beretta.
  11. Personally I would have re-arched the springs and attached taller shackles to give it a bit more lift. Looks kinda tame sitting at stock height! As far as color, I think a nice bright red would look great on it. Of course you would have to make sure to have a white base coat for it to really pop.
  12. Yeah, I was happy how it turned out. Now I can't wait to see how it will look with the truck I'm building to tow it.
  13. Just finished this one up yesterday. Here's what it started as: And here's how it ended up: Decided to paint the headlights red, like Grave Digger's (since the headlights were fogged up from when they were first glued). Interior: Engine: Chassis: The additions I've done are: -changing wheelie bars and coil springs to leaf springs -scratchbuilt a B&M Z-gate shifter
  14. You can actually delete them yourself. In the bottom right corner there's a pulldown that says "moderator options" (or similar). Click it and there will be an option "delete thread".
  15. The paint does look shiny, but you need to work on getting a better tape line.
  16. Looks great Nick! The only thing that you should touch up is the grille.
  17. Nick's forum The Scale Truckers
  18. Already did!
  19. This is one of my rebuilds that I'm doing. It originally came with the 1990 Chevy C1500 and clear car trailer (both of which are also being rebuilt). Here is how it was originally built: And here is the chassis and engine built up so far. The spark plug wires are just thread, and I fabbed up some rear leaf springs, since the kit originally had coil springs and wheelie-bars. Here's about what I plan on having it look like when it's done, besides the wheels of course.
  20. No you're not crazy Nick! I figured they would look good as centers for my "subs".
  21. Yup, certainly does! Course, we need a caller ID box so I can see who's calling... And as for the Chevy seats, I figured they would help give it that luxury conversion truck look.
  22. Well after an eternity, I've finally started on the matching F-350 Dually. Here's what it looked like before I disassembled it: Here's the "rolling chassis": Here's the interior, complete with custom B&M Megashifter, 15" subs and chrome amp, and seats and console from the '99 Silverado: Closeup of shifter: And here's the start of the engine/transmission:
  23. Hey now, your wife is a great person! :D
