  1. Looks pretty sweet! Those wheels are perfect and I'm glad you went with the black hood. The only thing I hate about that kit is the taillights that come with it. They just don't look right for some reason...
  2. I agree that stacks are played out, but that would be the 4-5" stacks that you see on every other truck. I see nothing wrong with a set like the ones on the L'il Red Express with the heat shields on them.
  3. I think that will look awesome as a model. The only thing I don't like is the wood bedsides. It would look better with painted steel bedsides and the stakes.
  4. I think it's more like tough love. Granted what he said in the engine stand thread may seem somewhat mean, but sometimes your thoughts don't type out quite as well as in your head. I think it's just the fact that Harry is frank with his comments and doesn't dance around the issue.
  5. Yeah, Modelmartin pointed it out earlier. It used to be $700 though.
  6. A would be part of it. The other part is your title is vague, so people have to view the post to see what it is you want, thus the 113 views.
  7. That's it, I knew they were Goodyears and had GT in the name. Course I didn't have a picture to be sure.
  8. If I recall correctly, the ones on my F350 are Goodyear Eagle GTs.
  9. Yo, from yet another Minnesotan (Anoka here)!
  10. Of course, if you want to grab say a picture from Ebay, or the Ferrari 599 GTO you've configured for the thread in General, you'd still end up cropping out a portion of the screen-grab. Just depends on how much of the screen you want to save.
  11. I figured it would be good to have a quick tutorial on using Print Screen (strangely enough using Print Screen! ) (Unfortunately I don't know the process for Macs, so this will just be for PCs.) Step 1: Hit "Prnt Scrn" button on top-right of keyboard, usually near Num Lk and above the high F keys (F10, F11, etc.) Step 2: Open up Microsoft Paint (or other picture editing program that you are comfortable with). Step 3: With Paint open, hit Crtl+V, should look like this: Step 4: a ) Select the crop tool b ) Select area to crop Step 5: Hit Crtl+X, and open new file. Step 6: Hit Ctrl+V, and click "save as", saving the file as whatever you'd like. Once you've saved it, you can upload it to the site using the method of your choice.
  12. Just use Prnt Scrn and paste it into Paint, and then trim out the pic and paste it into a new document.
  13. Dunno if he mounted it on his, but there is an airbox that mounts to the driver's side fender with a hose going from it to the back of the supercharger.
  14. It's like he's hosting his own infomercial.
  15. This one's for the races that require a co-pilot.
  16. Of course, companies like Consumer Reports mark the quality based on an average person driving on paved roads, which is why looking at their results for the Wrangler makes it look bad. Thing is though, most Wrangler owners don't care for the stiff ride and noise since they know it's meant to be basic and a great off-roader.
  17. Could be. I couldn't remember if they were Goodyear Polyglas or Firestone Wide O Oval. Now that I think about it, the latter sounds more familiar.
  18. The one I love is a commercial for I think Goodyear, where a guy on a fishing vessel is building up a model 'Vette, and has to run to the bridge. He sets it on the desk, and when the boat goes up a wave, everything slides off except the model, due to the tires.
  19. Yeah, spose I could've mentioned that in the first post! TTB is indeed out of the AMT '81 Bronco. I noticed that it had an offset crossmember, since the the beam with the diff is longer than the non-diff beam, so that's why I offset the one on my kit. While I'm here... Some other plans for the kit are: Fab custom brush guard with winch from CJ-7 kit. Combine the roll bar from this kit and my F350 kit to make a double/double, also I'm going to extend the supports to mount on the wheel wells. Snag the wheel flares from my Revell '81 Bronco and add some mudflaps. Possibly fab a Lightning-style rear tube bumper. Custom headers with side pipes from the Revell 70's Van. Supercharger from '01 Lightning with custom CAI. Add a few off-road goodies in the bed.
  20. Since this kit comes with the wrong wheels, I'm going to use the wheels from the '84 GMC truck. They work doubly well in that they are 8 lug and they have tires that scale out to around 34".
