  1. For this build I'll be taking my already built 1984 GMC truck, and combining it with the suspension/wheels/tires from the 1990 C1500 kit to make a custom truck. Here's how it started out: Here's the body so far. I filled in the creases in the bed sides, added and filled in a roll pan, filled in the front filler piece, and fabbed a custom grille out of round tubing.
  2. I noticed the pump-box cover looked a bit empty, so I looked through my decals and found some from an old airplane kit. Found the Iron Crosses and figured it would look cool on it.
  3. Once I see what shipping is, I'll probably adjust the price accordingly so it isn't so much.
  4. Haha well I was thinking maybe 10 bucks plus shipping, course I have to get a box together and figure out the shipping. If you want, you can PM me to hammer out the details. As far as the motorcycle fitting, you could always fab up one of those tubular bed extenders for when the tailgate is down!
  5. There's nothing in particular that I'm looking for, though I'd prefer trucks or muscle cars. What do you have to offer?
  6. Actually in 1994 the GT and GTZ were replaced by the Z26 Beretta.
  7. Well it is a snap-kit, so it shouldn't be tough to disassemble compared to a glue kit. But if you'd still rather start fresh, then that's fine!
  8. I haven't had a chance to start on mine yet. Once I finish my '93 Chevy K1500 and get my next paycheck, I'm going to order up a set of the wheels and some disc brakes and get started on this build.
  9. If you'd like, I have a Ram Dually that's already built that I'd be willing to sell you (or possibly trade if you have anything I'd be interested in).
  10. Haha they were pretty simple to build. I found some jet engine cones from a plane kit, and added some wheel backs to represent speakers. I then found some older Chevy wheel centers which I figured would look cool as the speaker centers. The amp is simply a chrome intake manifold flipped over. Simple but effective basically.
  11. Soon enough, they will be called "Govrolet", and the name debate won't matter anymore.
  12. The only thing I wish I would have done is moved the decals back on the sides, so they went onto the bed as well. But other then that I'm happy how it turned out especially with the tough time I had removing the old paint!
  13. Well the hitch ball is from the kit haha, but the hitch itself was scratchbuilt.
  14. It doesn't necessarily have to be a metallic, it could just be a gloss. You could always try and find some similar color matched paint at your local auto parts store and see how big the metalflake is just for comparison. Also, didn't know that you were partially colorblind! I figured that perhaps your monitor settings were just a bit off!
  15. Haha I noticed the pump-box cover looked a bit empty, so I looked through my decals and found some from an old airplane kit. Found the Iron Crosses and figured it would look cool on it.
  16. More pics: Engine: Underside: Hitch detail:
  17. Posted this in the Trucks section, but figured I would post it here too. Truck started like this: Made custom interior using seats from '99 Silverado kit and made custom subs: Built B&M Megashifter: And of course the finished build, with Bass Boat and custom built trailer:
  18. Wooh! I'm finally done! Closeup of the hitch and chains: The engine compartment (with custom air cleaner and plug wires): The truck by itself: Filled in the tailgate and rollpan: "Carpet lined" bed with spare and box containing batteries/pumps for suspension: Underside with custom exhaust:
  19. Technically the first color is Black Rose Metallic (note the purplish tint), and the blue is actually black. The blue they used in 1992 was a lighter shade, called Quasar Blue: In any case, I think a white with red interior or red with white interior would look great. Edit: Tree'd due to research! *shakes fist at Mark*
  20. Hey now, they're a great alt. rock band!
  21. Was able to get the suspension and TTB figured out. I'll install the rear axle once I figure out the driveline angle. Rear suspension with scratchbuilt shackles, still need to reinforce the front brackets. Added spare leaf springs and built some shackles and TTB brackets. Overall chassis thus far.
  22. Might as well bump this thread to the top since I'm finally almost done with the build! I should have pics up by tonight.
