  1. Isn't happening to me. What browser are you using? I'm assuming it has something to do with the "post preview" icon popping up.
  2. That's why I have a bookmark straight to my main album. At least on mine there are the other album links on the left side of the screen, so if I want to easily change albums I can.
  3. It's showing up for me as a smaller box that is showing the pic at 21% of full size. What internet browser are you using?
  4. It's part of the roll cage that goes over the roof of the car. I think it's mostly the larger demo derbies that allow them. Similar to 051 in the last picture.
  5. There's a way to decrease the picture size when uploading into Photobucket. What photo hosting site are you using?
  6. Yeah I figured there would be some variances, which is why I described the majority. Was yours built sort of between model years? I do know that there were some '69 models with trim to the the front wheel well.
  7. Love it! Love the monochrome look, love the wheels, love the car in general!
  8. How are you trying to post your pics? Right from your computer or from a photo hosting site?
  9. Looking good so far! One suggestion I'd make (if you'd want to change it) is using square tubing for the front lift. It's easier to make a straight cut, plus it would look more like a real lift. Otherwise (if you haven't planned on it already), fabricate a skidplate with sheet styrene.
  10. When I did my '81, I just used the front suspension from one of the '90-'91 Chevy Pickup kits ('90 C1500 stepside in my case).
  11. Since the models are covered, I'll cover the real cars. The major difference is the side moldings. The '68 had a molding that flowed off the corner of the grille, and continued down the side of the car. Majority of them with this molding had black painted rockers. '69 Got rid of the side moldings. '68 Had side marker lights with the engine callout, the '69 was just the lense, and the '68 had a mesh grille whereas the '69 had the split grille similar to the '70. '68: '69:
  12. Somehow I forgot about my 1969 VW Baja Bug! Completely redid the interior, added new wheels and tires, and rebuilt the engine. With lights on:
  13. What are your real life "builds"? Do you have a clunker? a off-roader? a project car? a hot rod? or is it just a daily driver? List it up here for all to see! Here's my 1989 Jeep Wrangler Islander. Picked it up from my cousin 5 years ago for $2400, and have since done a ton to it. Most noticeable are the new wheels and tires, as well as a new engine under the hood.
  14. Should be a good build, I've always wanted to build one of these kits! Just so you know in the future, there is a section for the larger scale builds (Big Boyz).
  15. He must have gone to a lot of hotels!
  16. If you're posting PB pics to the ad area, then I'm not sure. If you're trying to post them to the area they give you to upload pics (where it says "browse"), then it won't work. I guess I forgot that they can downsize the pics automatically.
  17. Looking on craigslist though, you are grabbing the pics off your computer, not Photobucket. So it still stands that they are probably too big, unless of course you resaved the resized photobucket pics onto your computer.
  18. Would that be the personals area Harry?
  19. Are you posting the pics in the spots they give you? If so, they may be too big for the site to host. I suggest opening paint or photoshop and making them smaller.
  20. Thanks guys! I wanted to use the front axle/transfer case from the GMC for another build, so I figured I would make it into a 2WD street truck. And since I love the looks of the 70's jacked up muscle cars, I figured it would work well for the truck. Plus, I'm trying to work my way out of the alternating-two-color paintjobs!
  21. Well I finally finished this build. It started as a 4WD and was converted to a 2WD using the front suspension from the 1990 C1500 kit. I decided to go with a sort of 70's muscle car stance, with more of a 90's street truck look. I built a custom grille, custom airdam, 90's style headlight covers, tonneau cover, rear roll pan, added rear window louvers from the C1500 kit, added a supercharger to the engine, wired up the plug wires and battery, added a nitrous bottle, fabbed traction bars and lift shackles, and I added headers with header-mounted glasspack mufflers.
  22. If you want to be accurate to the movie car, then you'll want to have the wheels be white with chrome hubcaps.
  23. The Hurst Lightning Rod Shifter wasn't too complicated. You would put the main shifter in 3, the middle in 2, and the right in 1. While accelerating, shift the right stick forward, then the middle forward, then the main to D.
