  4. I picked these up last night at the Lobby Of Hobby The Vet was $6.47 and the Mopar was $7.45 it jumped right off of the shelf and into my hands.
  5. I have this kit as well. Is the Scale Motor Sport kit a better choice?
  6. I bet you would get a ton of hits on this tread going that route:D
  7. It's going to look like Las Vegas only classier
  8. This is the route will be going http://www.briansmodelcars.com/tutorials/tutorial/23.
  9. My first car was an 1976 Olds Toronado. No pics. It was a wrecked car with 30000 miles on it with a bent frame.I bought it for $350.00. My dad and I got a new rear quarter, door, deck lid, bumper and half of the trunk and inner fender wells for $100. After we put it on our frame straightener and welded all the panels on I had my first car. Paint had just gone way up in price at the time (1988) I begged him to paint it.He said it was to expensive and the car wasn't worth it. So I had a HUGE car with a maroon door a silver trunk, rear quarter and bumper valances. The rest of the car was red. Front wheel drive plush interior and would pass anything but a gas station. It looked good on one side of the street not so good on the other
  10. Here is the kit I bought yesterday. The body is molded in a metallic green It's 1/24 scale
  11. Thanks for the links. It's a good start. It looks like the sport 300 was made in low numbers. I don't know enough about this car yet to know what parts from different years will work. I will poke around some owners clubs there is sure to be a Guru around somewhere.
  12. Yea I did .I got some exterior but no engine or interior pic's
  13. I was at the Model show at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo yesterday and picked up a Monogram Lotus Esprit Kit 2970 for a good price and a thinking about it for a winter project. I'm finding out pictures are a little hard to come by using standard Google practices. The kit looks pretty good to my eye it's molded in a metallic green. I don't remember to many kits going that route before but I have a complete model. The kit needs brake discs and I don't think the seats are correct. Any references on the engine, interior, brakes and under carriage would be great.
  14. Very cool one of my favorite movies I'll be watching for sure
  15. Are you kidding me I'm waiting to here what this thing sounds like when you fire it up!
  16. Like they say if you want to go fast it's not cubic inch it's cubic dollar. That is going to be a Killer car when it gets done. The body work alone looks like it will be a big job, then adding the roll-cage and all the rest. This is the stuff that hardly anybody see's. You get to see what is possible, see past the pile of sheet metal, rust and parts that will make a great car someday. I like to see the progress from an old Chevy to a smoking Chevelle. In a way these "old" cars kind of deserve this kind of treatment. Even if it's a stock restore or a highly modified hot rod. It's all good in the end.
  17. I couldn't have said it any better. I try to error on the side of caution start low and work my way up in small increments.
  18. What a great build! The quality is superb. What did you use to get the exhaust to look so good. It looks like you might burn your fingers on it. Thanks for sharing.
  19. You also will want to add in a water/oil separator .You would hate to get a big spray of water while your painting. I Like the one regulator set up as well. That's all we ever used in my dad's body shop.
  20. I hear ya I am working on a Man Cave so I will have room to do my projects I should have had it done by now. I keep falling into threads here and other boards too. I can loose a few hours on the thing as well.
  21. Jerry Reed was one o the most underrated guitarists of all time. Look for any of his old stuff on Youtube and you'll see what I'm talking about. For me I'm in the truck all day the last thing I want to here about is more truck driving But if it inspires I say go for it. For some odd reason I like Miles Davis and John Coltrane the cool Jazz phase it helps me concentrate. Now the later free form stuff to much for me.
  22. WOW! That is amazing. I love the graphic novels I'm a huge fan of The Walking Dead. You have so much color it really pops. Very cool concept. Is it like a Shadowrun genre?
  23. If you have every had 4 blue model cars in a row because you bought a big rattle can of paint at the hardware store ,you might be a young modeler If you ever gave a pickup box a bath in lacquer thinner to remove the paint and 15 minutes later you wonder how it disappeared in to thin air,you might be a young modeler.
  24. Wow! What great work. I will be watching close to this one . I have always been a kit builder. Box stock was the norm for me. I have been a little daunted by the details. I want to learn some of the tricks of the trade. Any cheap tip will help. I have already found a ton of useful info on this board. I have been lurking for awhile
  25. Is it just me or can anyone else hear "Slow Ride in the background Great looking ride
