  1. I built this old girl over 30 years ago but still like it. It was built back in the days when you used material on interiors!! Now the material is rather dusty and will not clean properly even though it is in a glass showcase, sorry. Did a lot of mods mostly utilising custom parts from the AMT '57 Chev kit. Opened the doors & boot, lowered & channeled it, rounded the bonnet, boot & doors and split the front seat so they lay forward individually. Sprayed in nail polish, probably one of my very first attempts. Thanks for looking Dave B
  2. That is BEAUTIFUL. What a great job!!! Dave B

    Ferraris

Interesting builds in 1/32. They would look really good if the Ninco Ref #80706 32 spoke wire wheel from the classis series slot car was used along with the tyre ref #80503. See http://www.pendleslotracing.co.uk/ under 'spares' 'Ninco' Regards Dave B
  4. The look & stance is straight out of Rodders Journal. Nice Dave B
  5. Hi Guys, Just another red, sort of, Ferrari. Was tempted to build it as one of the race cars but decided a nice boulevard cruiser might look good. By memory I think it may be sprayed in nail polish, built too long ago, sorry. Tks for looking Dave B
  6. Thanks for the comments guys Sorry Joe, I have no idea, just mixed yellow/blue until I got a green I liked Dave B
  7. Hi guys, Built this one a while back and thought some of you Porscheophiles might like to see it. Painted in auto acrylic, home mixed colour. Just liked the thought of one along the lines of a lime green. Thanks for looking Dave B
  8. Nice job on that, I wish I had bought one when they were readily available Dave B
  9. Nice build, paint & detail. I also love the Fujimi enthusiast series and have built the Porsche RSR, Lambo Countach & Ferrari Daytona Coupe & still have the Spyder to build. Dave B
  10. Tks guys, like others I opted not to buy one when they were released/re-released. Given the opportunity I will next time as a 'new one' would give me the chance to improve a few things (i.e. It wouldn't have broken rims on the wheels for starters!!) Tks again Dave B

    New guy

Very nice Merc Joe, I have an old AMT issue I intend to pie cut. Hope it turns out as well as yours Dave B
  12. Back in the mid 60's I was lucky enough to see Scuderia Veloce's 250LM (chassis #6321) race at Longford, Tasmania. This is the 250LM now owned by Ralph Lauren (http://www.ralphlaurencarcollection.com/). When I was given an old Academy kit, in need of restoration, there was only one I wanted to build. Tks for looking Dave B
  13. Hi guys, I rebuilt this old girl a couple of years back. It was a stock Entex kit, yellow with white hard top & stock wheels. Not a nice looking kit so it went into the cupboard. Since I have been casting the odd bits & pieces I decided to rebuilt as a historic racer Tks for looking Dave B
  14. Beautiful build, I love F1 and sports racing cars from the 50's to late '70's. Also like the opposite lock. Dave B
  15. I love it, Could be an Australian special, apart from left hand drive. I have a couple of projects along similar lines under way, one being the ugly AMT excuse for a Ferrari 250SWB but with the roof off, halibrand wheels & chev motor. Regards Dave
  16. John, This is going to be trick, looking forward to seeing it finished. You obviously have too much spare time!!!!! Dave B
  17. Peter, Nice build, I originally did mine the same but luckily I noticed the side windows in time to correct. Jarius, I have that built from a slot car body, I didn't realise it was Monogram, I thought Japanese but didn't know what brand. I shall post a couple of pics later but I am definitely going to rebuild that one, I'm not at all happy have selected the 'restored' #15 with wire wheels Tks again guys Dave B
  18. Tks guys, it was fun building it & it is a little different s race cars go. Regards Dave B
  19. I built his a while back using 'The Ford That Beat Ferrari' & 'Shelby's GT40's' as reference material. Had to hand shape & vacform the glass & I didn't get the windscreen quite right. I may get around to redoing it but would need to secure another set of Fred Cady decals first, at least I have the spare Fujimi Mk11!! I also have the Mini Exotics X1 resin to build so that should look good together. Thanks for looking Dave B
  20. Looks good, I also have one to build but will be doing a locally Aussie racer being Alan Moffat's. It was a Kar Kraft car however. I believe the Trans-Am 'stangs had pie cut front fenders, does anyone have any info on this? Regards
  21. Beautiful build John. Just a dumb assumption, I guess it is 1/24 rather than 1/12 or similar?
  22. That's nice, love the 'early' look

    Cobra!!!

Nice build & paint, GREAT interior!! I don't mind the flake size, it represents a metal flake as opposed to metallic to me.

    Lotus 29

Beautiful build Curt, nice to see something different.
  25. Sorry guys, for me it was easy as I have 2 small vac pumps. They are pumps that were used to pull down printers plates at the local newspaper. They won't do big jobs but are ideal for little bits & pieces. I just put some plasticine under the Greenwood styrene covers and pulled some clear PVC over them, they are slightly oversize but you can trim them down, they do the job. Dave B
