    Maxum GTP

Turned out great man. I love these curbside resin kits, they're always a lot of fun to build and make a cool shelf model !!
  2. That's lookin hot man !! Love it !!
  3. Must be some unidentified flu, I've got it too !!!
  4. A beauty !!!! I have this kit as well and am trying to get up the nerve to build it. Any issues with it ??
  5. That oughta be sweet !!! I'll have to look for that !!
  6. Thanks guys, i'll check out that site. I usually get my resins from StradaSports but he doesn't have any listings for any QuickSkins product at the moment. I do have the Cadillac LMP900 kit from them finished and it is in the Strada gallery along with some of my and my sons resins. I did also get the Corvette GTP kit and it is awesome. Really like the QuickSkins kits and would like to get more. You might could find video of your Probe on youtube as i've watched lots of IMSA vids on there from around those years. Good luck with this one and i'll be watching. Danny
  7. That is a very clean looking casting. It should look cool when finished. Do they have a website or anywhere I can check on their latest listings ?
  8. I used to use alcohol with no problems. A friend of mine suggested that he always uses laquer thinner to wipe the resin off and let it air dry. I have used this process for several years now with no problem. I try to always use a good quality laquer primer also to seal off any residue.
  9. Now THAT is COOOOLLL !!!!
  10. I suppose the horse drawn carriage from his funeral will be next !!! Sorry, I just had to say that !! Yes I was around during that awfull time in history and am totally respectfull of it, which is why I hate to see people trying to make a buck from it !! My 2 cents worth !!
  11. Very cool !! My mom had a 71 4dr with the 250 six cyl. and rubber mats too. At the same time I had a 71 Rally Nova. Mulsanne blue with the black side stripes, 350 2bbl with chrome reverse. I eventually put Western 5 spokes on it. I had it over 20 yrs. and had to sell it. MAN I miss it. I have several of the amt and revell kits to replicate every stage that car went through ! Decals and all.
  12. OH MY, this could be a twin to my Kitty !! Looks identical and she likes to sit on my lap while i'm building or surfin the net too !!
  13. I have enough models for this and another lifetime. But being unemployed for about 3 years now I have a different perspective on things. I have a wonderful wife of 36 years, 2 great adult children, 2 beautiful grandaughters, and the greatest gift of all, Salvation. The rest is all smoke and mirrors.
  14. " Can't see the line can ya Russ" ?? LOL, Merry Christmass to all.....
  15. My mom had a 71 Nova painted by one of those type deals. Painted over all chrome too ! Only windows and tires didn't get painted. And as mentioned, shortly thereafter it began flaking off !!! Oh yeah, didn't even wash it either, painted over dirt and mud on fenders !!! I bout threw up !!!
  16. The Lotus 107 F1 car was sponsored by Tamiya in '92 as replicated by the Tamiya kit #20037. There is a Lotus on display at the Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham Ala. that has the Tamiya logos displayed also. I have lost my pics of it but have found some from a friend of mine who went with me. I'll post the link for his pics. http://public.fotki.com/BrianVenable/trips/barber-motorsports-/img-1993.html
  17. Camaroman said it all for me too. I have a blast when I go but this year just couldn't find the funds to feed my temptations !!
  18. You bet it is !! It's in my opinion the best show on the circuit in the southeast. Been going there regularly since '04. Make sure to take plenty of $$ and get there early. A great bunch of guys !
  19. Very nice. The next best color to red for these ladies !!
  20. I finally got me a Hemi Dart kit this week. Aside from the few inacuracies of it, I love it. Also got me some Tamiya clear for stock and a new sanding stick.
  21. Very Cool !!! Good eye for details. Now what can you do with a Dodge Challenger ?? HHmmm.....
  22. Same here too. Testors dullcote with light coats only. I've always used it on tire lettering and it's perfect.
  23. Looks like a cool build. I hope you have better luck fitting the chassis into the body than I did. For some reason the firewall area of the interior was keeping the chassis from going all the way up, resulting in the front of the suspension area hanging way down. The only solution I could find, short of ripping it all apart was to cut the front subframe into and reglue it to the inner fenders. That dropped the stance right but just don't look under it !!! Good luck...
