  1. Welcome to the forum. Had to google your town to see where you were from .. outside Dusseldorf I see. I was in Neckarslum for two years just before your modeling began . '67 - '68. .. and loved it there! Enjoy your stay and wil lbe looking foward to seeing some of your builds.
  2. Hands down I agree with this! These are even the "right" color! I bought a 10 year old '59 Impalla, white with red interior, JUST for the dashboard! and my Facebook page will back me up on this
  3. wow .. nice job! I'm a structural engineer and know concrete, so again Nice Job!
  4. Believe it or not, I never built a %8 Chevy, as much as I like them. The Revell kit looked very well dome and the separate chrome trim attracted me more than anything, I still have a '59 Impalla waiting for me to finish the BMF!. So, I had an idea for a custom ... that will have to wait expressing until I get started and can post a WIP. But, I bought TWO of these ..
  5. What brand / model gel pen?
  6. Best looking Harry I've seen .. that's one good looking Graham too!
  7. Looks really good! I'll bet even all the savvy car nuts don't know what a Panhard is .. I'll admit defeat in this one and I like most European cars over American iron. I think your mostly safe on anyone calling you out on the model, but I know someone here is up to it..
  8. Like that hood work .. Wendy's always what I need too!
  9. I m really happy to see all these vehicles ON THE ROAD and not stuffed in some garage!
  10. '72 Volvo 145 '51 Plymouth (not the '49 already done) '15 BMW X1 /'08 Infiniti G37 Coupe ehhe ... someone has to get all these American ulgys off the table (I know ... put one American car there .. not all are ugly)
  11. For anyone interested, this is a link to my Photobucket folder with the scanned instructions.
  12. It HAS been a long time since an update but this one has been fighting me with little things .. and .. I HAVE been working on it since last update. The frame is mostly all together and the decals all applied. The fine, small details of the frame and suspension challenged my aging fingers but the resulting detail is amazing. The decals using Papillo decal paper has been taking the most time to get them to lay down. They didn't respond to Micro Set or Micro Sol at all so I tried some Mr. Mark Setter and Softer for the first time. They did respond but not as well as I would have liked. You can see on the back of the cab ridges that the decals would not settle down around. I even slit the decals along the ridges but they still wouldn't settle tightly. I left it as is as good enough.
  13. Fortunately, this is my day job office..
  14. You WERE supposed to use every part in the box back in the '60s, weren't you? I just had the urge to build a Valiant again ))
  15. Yes ..I'm watching and enjoying every shot
  16. I was lucky ... when I got my license my Dad had a '65 Ford Galaxy. It was probably the worst handling car I have ever been in. I drove it once just to go to a store and almost turned back .. I thought it was going to roll over on a gentle curve at 25 mph .. and I learned to drive on his VW Bus! I never did drive it again, so I was spared mashing a fender.
  17. ehhe um, bookmark your threads when you start them? I'm an Old F to Art, and cane find the first thread I started .. need too since it's STILL on the workbench! lol
  18. I shouldn't tell YOU this, but there were 3 other Cobras that I missed the photo of .. amazing even under the circumstances!
  19. yeah .. was a lot of them .. ox .. there's more so here's a link to all ..
  20. It was a great day for seeing cars on the road yesterday .. on the road to Lime Rock Park, that is! ....
  21. Here are some shots of the 2014 Lime Rock Park Historic Festival in Connecticut. This is of the Sunday On The Track show .. the complete track was packed with cars of all types on display. Ralph Lauren had some of his cars there including his 1929 Birkin Blower Bentley I was in love with this Delage .. Here's my Photobucket folder of photos. If anyone can use a larger resolution image of any, just send me a PM
  22. Great looking Bug! Replicas of your real cars is one of my favorite types of builds. Can I ask how you masked the Fuch wheels? I have some I need to do the black centers but have not found a way to mask them that suits me as far as getting a clean separation. Yours look wonderful!
  23. Just Sunday .. going down to Lime Rock Historic Festival to see the classics parked on the track. Ralph Lauren is supposed to have these five cars there. I'll have photos in the reference section late in the day.
  24. This one I always thought was art ...
