  3. It's good to see the master at work again! I'll be looking forward to see how the Micro Mark vacuformer works for you as I've been eying the same. ))
  4. The '59 Chevy interior is pretty much box stock. Used a paint (unknown) that looked right and think I sprayed with a flat ot semi-gloss to tone down shine. The seat pattern is decals from the kit. Bare-Metal foil was used for the chrome. That's about it.
  5. I love the Victoria roof band more than any part on any '50 car. I think the "fishmouth" will improve greatly against the hood in place.
  6. His race cars looked good, but that 'stach has to go!
  7. and rub your finger on your nose .. and up the .. err.. but really .. will pick up a bit more skin oil ..
  8. Wonderful job! the weathering and randomness make is so realistic!
  9. I think the '57 lable on this kept me from peeking, but I like the road this is heading down. That tonneau really does it for me so far!
  10. Welcome, Raul. Some beautiful models there and great choice of subjects! Will be looking forward to seeing more!
  11. unfortunatly, All American Models is no longer in business but, fortunatly, Art Anderson is a member here.
  12. Thanks for that photo, Greg .. I never knew that one existed.
  13. wow .. up from the dead again! no, mine are never dead, just resting . ehhe. Thanks for the comments everyone. It is just waiting for a repaint ... there's th etrouble as I hate painting. The paint on this one really went on smooth first time around. I even acquired some thin striping tape I think will work here.
  14. I recently recieved an email from Jim Amado at Uptown Automotive saying "We have recently finalized an agreement to have our resin products cast again. I am writing because you had previously expressed interest in one or more of those products. Please advise if, and which, you may still be interested in, so we will know how many to secure for prior backorders". I had inquired abou their 1970's Grumman Curbmaster step van kit. Includes body, floor pan/frame (with integral bumpers), driver's seat, separate doors, wheels/tires, window material, front suspension, and two west coast mirrors. So, take a look at their site and I'd suggest contacting them if you have interest in any of their products. Uptown Automotive
  15. Thanks for the very helpful comments, guys. And so detailed! I did use a quick photo of a similar wheel just to illustrate what I was trying to do, but the actual wheel I didn't have any good photos. It was one I bought in hard times for a '69 Beetle I'm replicating. below is the best I can do on the actual wheels. It looks like I need 24 holes after analyzing the photo closely ... 15 degrees on center. I've looked at that Dremeal Workstation before and maybe this is my excuse to do it. I'll never need a Mill for my projects. Your suggestion for a rotary holder sounds pretty simple .. gonna have to did into it closely. I'm a Structural Engineer so your explanation was clear to me.

  17. Nice looking truck .. really like the paint job!
  18. I'm looking for a modeling drill press ... mostly for 1/25 cars and was hoping some of the machinists here could guild me in my search. The current project driving this is the need to drill a number of holes in a wheel that are just inside the rim and go around th eperimeter. It would equate to a ring of small drills in a bit less than a one-half diameter circle. So I would need an attachment that would enable me to drill a circle of holes exactle centered on the wheel and at exact angular spacing in the 1/2" diameter. Hopefully this is clear as I don't know what this attachment is called as I'm no machinest. Heres a photo of a wheel simular to what I want to make .. I'd appreciate any recomendations to a hobby drill press that would enable me to create this pattern of holes accurately.
  19. Not that much. I added a cone type air filter to the intake and thats what needed the firewall to be cut. Since then I've been told that 1:1 versions of this engine have the intake manifold reversed. KNowing that, I woul dhave done that to this build. and yours looks very fine!
  20. I've been eyeing the Micro-Mark Vacuum machine since it was introduced not long ago. I may not get enough use out of it to warrent buying, so have held off. I thought it looked to be a nice all in one unit. Uses max 4"x4" sheets of styrene or vivak. Just eanted to put the link here for any interested.
  21. Love it up on those big tires. Great looking build!
  22. I like you rbeater, Chuck . colors are really cool. If you want an American spec '68 just get the 70 convertible and all th eparts are in there . bumpers, etc. Would have been nice if they didn;t mold the tail light to th efenders cause then the correct tail lights coul dhave been switched too.
