I/m not sure how I missed your WIP so had to go back to see where you did the wedge section. It is very effective and came out looking really good! I like all the custom touches you did and they all flow together. VERY nice Merc.
Pretty cool.
You know, if you want to get a print of your digital images from a photo finisher it will be rare if it's NOT on Kodak paper! They're still alive ...
There are many different texture paints in spray cans that can give similar effects. I see them in big box, auto and craft stores. I'd look around your area and see what you find. They usually have the top painted so you can get an idea what the texture would be like.
I don't pay attention to categories unless I'm starting a new thread. I always peruse the board with View New Content so I don't miss anything and go into the ones that look interesting to me ... and most new Under Glass subjects. I like all good models.
Last count it was 20 waiting for me ... I'm known to not finish a lot, but it'd just that I enjoy working on them so mush I hate to put them on the shelf! There's 3 right now on my bench and been on and off with them ... sometimes work on all in one day.
Good to see you made it, Charlie! Came out looking good!
Saw inn the NNL East thread you explored the Wayne backroads ... too bad it didn't make the schedule this year as my wife grewup there and I have an inside track ,, ehhe
I'm rooting for ya Charlie!
I wouldn't hesitate to try the One Coat paint. Just test on a sprue from same kit .. you know. I've just been impressed how these paints go on and come out looking.
