  1. It's illuminating watching your projects take shape (and detours) as it moves forward. This one keeps getting better ... as they all do!
  2. I've never seen anything available in resin, but I have seen some do it using putty to shape them. Wish I could give you more.
  3. TRUE CONFESSION ... my workbench is Armored Up! I've been drawn into a model of the Pershing Missile Erector-Launcher that I operated while in the Army 47 years ago. It's a rare model and I'm adding all the missing detail. I have a work-in-progress going at the Fine Scale Modeler forum if you're interested. Meanwhile, you can see my two 944's ... '84 and '91, '32 Ford, '69 VW Beetle and '81 Plymouth Reliant sitting in their boxes ... waiting.
  4. I always though these Dodges were one of the wild looking ones of the 50's.
  5. That's a cool looking cab.
  6. I had five 924/944's and always oogled the 928's ... Porsche's first clean sheet design ... and they nailed it!
  7. I'm wondering if all this incredible detail is going to put it over the weight limit? . .. who cares!!!!!!
  8. This site has some blank MI plates including a 1965 ... which has the year embossed on it. At least you can see what's what. You can add your own letters/numbers and use that for decals to make your own.
  9. Looking very good, especially that finish!
  10. It's all right ... we all understand.
  11. 8am and clear skys and not a flake in the Berkshires! .. what NE snowstorm?
  12. My first car was a '51 Plymouth and, other than starting when it got cold, it got me around. The little snow on the ground in that photo says it won't start .. even with the rebuild
  13. We're only getting an inch up north in the Berkshires, but gonna build anyway ... will be WAY TO COLD to go out!
  14. Welcome, Herve. Bring on the air-cooled!
  15. Looks like a workhorse. Very nice interior panel job!
  16. Red will look good. This was my 2nd car that I bought mostly for the dashboard ... my favorite dash of all time! My Dad sold it after I got drafted and someone up the street gave him an offer I couldn't refuse.
  17. I'm paying close attention to your great build, but pausing to show Hyperlink. There's a weird looking icon about in the middle of the row above you typing area ... actually I belive it's supposed to be a chain ... it says "Link" when you pass th ecursor over it. You first go highlight and copy (ctrl c) the link from the page you want to link. Then highlite the text you wish to add th elink to and hit that Link icon. Just paste (ctrl v) the copied link into the box that pops up and hit OK.
  18. Cool build and, yes, I like the snows too ... a proper Taxi now.
  19. Right now, it looks like the one I had long ago ... is the body going to be white? Those carbs look busy! ... the greatest compliment I can give. It's also sitting very well.
  20. I have a Stylus also and my corded one has become neglected. I find I use mr dremel more than I ever thought I would when first buying. It's a great rough grinder for many things. It works trimming a rough cut down to the drawn edge to finish with sandpaper. I do alot of custom body work and it's indispensible.
  21. The spider web looks good! ... and that natural metal color for a rat!
  22. The first Beetle
  23. Good to see this one going together.
  24. I buy pretty much all my tools at Micro-Mark and never have been disappointed with the quality. Probably anything you might buy for car modeling I have gotten there. I'd be happy to comment on anything there if I can.
