  1. They all look clean and neat, usually the toughest part of returning to the fold. I had about a 30 year retreat but it all came back pretty fast ... and still learning, that never stops!
  2. It's looking good! I have a couple brass lined A-pillars on my shelf too ..
  3. Looks like it belongs on the Speedway!
  4. That's magnificient looking!
  5. Welcome, Ben. ... "Nice" place to be modeling in!
  6. It's looking even sleeker than the start!
  7. I'm still waiting for the PC version of GTA V, but in the meantime, here's some of the cars and what their real life counterparts are. There's something for everybody ... I need a Truffade Z-Type! gta 50
  8. I'd be interested in where I might obtain some turned aluminum rims as you show for exactly the same use for some Fuchs. Did you turn these yourself?
  9. Looking fine! That paint really makes it stand out.
  10. I'm 67 for reference, so I have bought a few cars ... most were used from dealers and private sellers. The last three I got new. The part I like best is the ability with the internet to thoroughly research a vehicle. The worst, as I have always felt, is having to deal a price ... I always walk away feeling I haven't gotten the best deal, even after getting what I asked for. That's probably just me.
  11. Fly has taste
  12. Beautiful engine!
  13. More than for any other scale .. more than I can say ... look in Car Resin and Aftermarket forum.
  14. I'm in the middle of the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts but there's a great LHS only a few miles up the road. He's a car modeler so has good stock and always seems to have whatever supplies I need. He also has R/C cars and planes, trains and many other hobby supplies. It's all pretty much list price but I buy from him whenever I can to help keep it alive.
  15. I find having to send a kit back with postage AND effort to be insulting customer service. It would apparently be a simple thing to lift out a small separate bag of parts (through the clear wrap!), but in the interest of customer service the part should just be sent with no questions ... what? ... .02 cents of plastic? I had a much higher opinion of Moebius before this .. Hopefully it will get settled in the end.
  16. Now, that's ambitious!
  17. Just some auto body putty is the best. Everyone will say ONLY two-part putty is what to use because of shrinkage, but one part is much easier and for small scratches shrinkage won't be a problem. Bondo is the de-facto standard. You shoul dhav eno prob;em locating it anywhere.
  18. Gonna have to pull one apart now ....
  19. I used some Insect Pins to make an antenna for my daughter's van, but the head it too round for what you need. Still, some specialty use as those are for might land you something. The head is very small.
  20. Welcome, Raymond. That altered would make a great looking build!
