  1. Well Cruz, with this snow storm you ought to be able to get a lot done. Looks fantastic so far! Did you do anything special for the floor/carpet? That color on the interior looks close to Dupli-Color's Hampstead Green, that I used for my '69 Nova. Hey, I see our own resin caster extraordinaire Normen (sic) Veber did the artwork for the photoetch. Cool!
  2. I don't care too much for the Fox Mustangs, but done up as these IMSA Trans-Am type racers, they really look good. Superb job on that, Dave! Hard to believe that twit Bruce Jenner drove one.
  3. Looks great, Sam. In that middle photo it looks like the real thing!
  4. Neat model with lots of detailing to check out, even down to the VW mudflaps!
  5. Well, we can use this extra day as bench time, since there won't be much else to do. Also, we can reflect on those hardy days of old, when we had a 5 mile uphill walk to school in that weather (for those of us over 50).
  6. His first name IS Howard, and I used his great article to do this: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=27447
  7. Marc, I have to agree with everybody's comments, only adding that I bet that color would really pop outside! Beautifully done.

Wow, what a cool model! That turned out beautiful. Great work, and sanitary clean building. This would make a neat resin kit!
  9. Looks great, Lyle. My favorite set of wheels & tires, too. That moon tank really sets off the front end. Cool!
  10. Another example of a simple, everyday thing we do turning into an accident! It brings me back to a year and a half ago, when one minute I was riding my bicycle, and the next thing I knew I was lying on my driveway with a broken hip. Oh well, look at it as time to get model projects done . Hope you heal up OK!
  11. Jim, it's in the December issue, #146. Yeah, it's a little late, but the content more than makes up for that. Here again, this is just one small part of a build, but very satisfying once you get it right!
  12. For as long as I've been making my own vanity type license plates, I've struggled to produce a sharp, clear plate when reduced to 1/25 scale. Thanks to MAMA club member Howard Weinstein and his photo-reducing article in the current MCM issue, I can see clearly now! I get my Pa. license plates from the Acme License Maker site, and save them as a JPG file on my pc. I don't have any photoshop software, so I had been using Microsoft Picture Manager to re-size and edit the plates, but they always lost resolution sizing them down, and I was never happy with the results. After reading Howard's article, it appears I have been using the wrong application, as Microsoft Word gives you excellent results. I followed his instructions, and the 1/25 scale license plates came out crystal clear. As noted, you should still print them on photo paper (I use glossy), as it prints clearer than regular printer paper. I also just use an inexpensive HP Photosmart printer with superb results. Give it a try, as I think a personal license plate really adds that finishing touch to a street driven vehicle, or to add detail emblems as Howard did in the article. Here is a sample I just made for my Murcielago. Thanks again Howard, and I've got some license plates to re-make!
  13. Incredible! I would be afraid to race them, they're all beautiful. Talk about varied subjects, too. A '40 Ford pickup slot car! .
  14. Tom, that's looking GOOD! I did visit the RMS website, and the Trans-Am Cougar they have pictured does it for me. Then I saw the Datsun 510 and truck Trans-Ams , and whoa!.... I may have to get them! . Very cool, all of them. Keep up the good work!
  15. While we're on the topic of Bill Stillwagon, yes, he's a VERY talented individual. One other trait I do know about him, from the short time I've known him, is that he likes to be punctual!
  16. Beautifully done, Dave! All that painting detail really finishes it off. The gold paint in the wheel centers really pops. Fantastic build!
  17. Looks great to me! I like anything Trans Am, especially a '69 Mustang. Are the Minilites from a kit or aftermarket?
  18. A beautiful build of a cool exotic Porsche. An unusual choice of color with the aluminum, but it gives it a neat 'toned down' kind of silver look. Sanitary clean!
  19. I'm not much for this body style, but boy, does that look good done as a street machine! That color really makes it pop, also. Maybe it's that Ca. sun Raul talks about, too . Great build, John.
  20. Very cool! I like oddball stuff like this.
  21. Very cool, Sam. A good mix of old and new, and different!
  22. .......JUST BUILDING MODEL CARS.............

  23. Beautiful, Dale! Another sanitary, well detailed race car.
  24. It's nice to see one in a different color other than silver or black. That is a beautiful model, that looks great in pearl white. Very cleanly done!
