  1. I'm more interested in this version than the Toyota- somehow the mere fact this is the Subaru version makes it seem that much more esoteric to me.
  2. Craziest thing? That Genesis was 20 years old last summer (or will be 20 years old this summer, can't quite remember), and it still works perfectly. Meanwhile, I can't tell you how many PlayStation consoles my brother and cousin burned up just in the first two-year period the PS1 was available.
  3. I'd go that route! I think one of the Revell kits ('55 Chevy?) even has Pontiac valve covers.
  4. That's the 'classic' AMT kit from 1962 or therabouts, not the newer version that came out in the '90's and got reissued in the tin box last year. I'll see if I can come up with some pics, but I know it comes with an optional SCoT-blown W-motor and a '57 Buick grille.
  5. I guess I've become an 'old school' gamer by default- I still have my Sega Genesis, and the last really good game I played was Goldeneye for the N64. Hasn't been much I've cared about since. I'll still play a few of the GTA games just for fun though.
  6. Thanks. I just poked out my eardrums with a screwdriver. STILL hear the song loud and clear.
  7. Wasn't he so scared of that Olds he cut it up and buried it in the desert? This will be cool!
  8. Whenever I see a UFO kit, I wonder "How do they know it's 1:32 scale? Where'd they get the blueprints?"
  9. Really nice! Apparently those open driver compartments weren't too bad in the winter. I've heard that you became so desensitized from the engine noise and vibration you didn't even notice the cold.
  10. That's still his current e-mail. Norm's pretty good about getting back with you quickly whether you use phone, e-mail, or snail mail.
  11. I build them. Otherwise, what's the point in having them?
  12. Same in theory (Econonlines are as common here as Transits are there) but totally different vehciles. A US-version of the current Transit is going to eventually replace the E-Series here, and we already get the smaller Transit Connect.
  13. Wasn't that to protect against air strikes. Because there's no safer place to be under such circumstances than beneath a flimsy wooden desk...
  14. I think I got it low enough...
  15. Gorgeous.
  16. If you want to build a 1:25 four-eye notch, I have it on good authority that the new Revell chassis will work under Kris Morgan's '79 transkit body. You'd still need to backdate the interior and engine (unless you want a restomod), but I might be jumping in with one of those. That, and there's the matter of me still having to wrap up the Mark VII.
  17. You can also get a wheel encrusted with fake diamonds. Price? Just under sixty-three grand. Each... http://www.customwheelsdirect.com/html/wheels_brand/wheel_detail.php?id=54664
  18. What Harry said. Next time you are at the parts store ask the counterman for a part for your 2004 Ford Lincoln and see what happens. Well, Apple trademarked rectangles with rounded corners, so anything's possible...
  19. With the huntin' dog chained to the bumper! I've actually seen that.
  20. Love it! I've never seen a Transit in person (I'm a Yank, after all), but I've always had an affinity for them, and I try to stash the Esci kits as I find them.
  21. Thats the old 1911 IHC Motor Truck kit by Minicraft.
  22. It's a VERY early '67 model, and somebody at the paint shop in the factory was asleep at the switch. Lovely model!
  23. Thanks, David! Goo Gone is what I actually meant. All these adhesive removers with all those 'G's' in the name...
  24. It'll work- just turn the flareboards down to 90 degrees and maybe find a different tailgate if you want to make it look like a stock '70's Flareside. Just using the '53 bed on that truck as-is looks okay though, too- I think I have one around here somewhere I built like that.
  25. Careful heat with a hair dryer should take off the actual stickers- a few sessions with an adhesive remover like Goof Off should take care of the adhesive residue. As always, you'll want to test out the adhesive remover of your choice on a piece of plastic from the same kit to make sure it won't do anything goofy with the plastic.
