If I do finish one more, I'll add it later, but that's looking doubtful now. I'm fairly certain this will be all for the year.

ID this. And don't turn to me for the correct answer, I have no idea. Also? Is it real or a model? Again, I have no idea, but I'm pretty sure it's either one or the other.

Not a bad apple in the bunch, but I've got to say I'm very partial to that '67 Fury at the very top.

Finished just now after about two weekends worth of spare time. Well, the equivalent of two weekends of spare time... spread out over half a year! Might be the last one for this year off my workbench. The idea is an 'in-progress' driver- one day the car will wear a shiny coat of Sublime Green to match the wheels and interior, but in the meantime it'll just rock the primer. Over the last few months as the car was shuffled on and off the workbench, a few scrapes and blemishes appeared in the finish. Let's just call that road rash. The basic kit is mostly box stock, lowered using the lowered suspension pieces in the kit combined with some selective trimming and grinding where needed to get it even lower, but powered by a Kitchen Table Resins 226 Ford Flathead six with a few speed parts.

I'd say you went with quality over quantity this year. I like it.

Not a big fan of Christmas-themed stuff, but even this Scrooge is digging it.

I actually built this about four years ago, but I just found some decent photos of it in my Fotki's 'runoff' folder (where all the stuff I'm too lazy to sort after uploading ends up). It's the Prestige Series kit, with the wheels and tires from a Revell '91 Firebird and some of the AMT parts pack pieces on the engine.

Still, somebody should build that. -
That's actually the first Hubley '32 Chevy kit I've seen built up. Looks like you modified it just a little. I like it. The '48 Coupe is finally done- I'm just waiting for daybreak so I can shoot a couple of photos.

Lovely little Plymouth.

Last Lexus LFA rolls of the line
Chuck Most replied to martinfan5's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ah, yes... for some reason I thought they'd planned to build 500 a year, not 500 total. Even though I just read the article and saw that the last one was #500 of 500. Now... wonder what if anything Toyota is planning as a follow up? -

Didn't they JUST START making these a couple of years ago? -
This is a dead ringer for the '86 version my buddy Matt had in high school. Well, a dead ringer for how his car would have looked new anyway! Very nice conversion.

How can something that's basically just a big box look so cool? I don't know, but it's possible. I'm definitely getting one of these now, but I can only hope mine will turn out as well as yours!

I'd say keep this one as is, then do a new-and-improved version later on. You could display them side by side to show how you've progressed as a modeler. Though I must say, you think the work you did on this isn't the best, but it's still a very sweet looking model if you ask me!

Purple Shortie Pickup

Very cool! I cut down one of these years ago to use with the Model King camper, and used the rear portion of the body as a makeshift enclosed trailer. -

Police Car Question

Why did I say Barney when I clearly meant Otis, anyway? -
Police Car Question
Chuck Most replied to Hollywood Jim's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't think they had PCP in '57. Drunks were probably the most common 'druggies' back then, and having a drunken Barney sitting right next to you as you cart him off to the pokey would be sort fo fun, and surely liven up your shift a little bit. And if he got out of line, he's RIGHT THERE, well within stun gun range. Wait. They didn't have stun guns back then, did they...
