  1. Nice! This is kind of a crude kit, but you did a fantastic job showing its potential.
  2. I opened the thread thinking "Somebody built a puller out of a Dodge Rampage????" Very nice work on this one.
  3. I want a few of those stink packets.
  4. The 'Cattleac' is as close to finished as it's ever going to get- should have pics up shortly!
  5. Well.... you know how life intervenes sometimes and throws your hobby schedule all out of whack? Yeah. That's what's happening with this one. Nothing major, though, and I'm hoping this thing will be back on track sooner and not later.
  6. There's a Hudson six buried in there someplace. Hmmm....
  7. Another question- why all the threads about locked threads? Drop it and move on.
  8. This is a '59, but one of mine will end up in a state similar to this one... minus the lame-o Small Block Chevy. Good thing I took TONS of reference shots of this one.
  9. I was wondering where you went! Are those XS Tuning wheels?
  10. Sick of all those step-siblings?
  11. Not a rumor- 100% true. Sad part is they dig traditonal customs more than hot rods of any sort. At least in my experience.
  12. Just for fun, here's a quick little comparo with the truck you posted and a box-stock (as far as wheelbase, etc.) of the AMT WF Dual Drive. Might make spotting a few of the changes you'd need to make a bit easier-
  13. I just recently started on a custom '48 woody of my own, and I thought it was going to be pretty extreme. Not compared to this one! Guess I'm headed back to the drawing board...
  14. I'd quit my job, but other than that I doubt I'd do anything different- that's more money than I could ever possibly spend. On the other hand, my '67 Fury might stand a chance of being finished in something resembling a timely manner.
  15. I vote for building it as a tractor- it just looks awesome leading off that trailer.
  16. Won't be much left, I think the color will also work well on an AMT White Western Star semi I'm working on, and that will more than likely kill the rest of the can.
  17. Never heard of a Chia Charger- that thing's got to be rare.
  18. Lovely looking car.
  19. Huh- guess it's a bit closer to 'not stock' than I remembered...
  20. I've never seen those specific valve covers, but I'm with Brian- it does appear to be a '69/70 Boss 429 with a late-model EFI retrofit.
  21. The aftermarket stuff is pretty good, but you can also make your own by robbing the rotor/caliper casting from a kit and making your own hub and wheel studs from pieces of styrene rod.
  22. Kind of what I thought. Funny- stopped at the Ithaca post again today, and nobody knows where the new Caprice is. Even though every other police agency in the county knows about it- it's the only Caprice in Gratiot County. Anyway- managed to get a few more... And here's a link to an album of Michigan police cars on my Fotki- I plan to update it as frequently as I can- http://public.fotki.com/ChuckMost/11-reference-pictures/gratiot-county-cop-car/
  23. I so far have not been able to track down Ithaca's new Caprice, but I did get a shot of their current Impala, as well as a 'retired' Gratiot County Ford. This is an older car- the current Gratiot county cars are solid black. The Ithaca cars were blue for a while, but they now run black Impalas, as it seems that the blue ones went for way less money at auction when they were taken out of service. Question- do the police Impalas come without front hubcaps? I ask because this and the other two Ithaca cars have hubcaps on the rear wheels only.
