The one with the yellow/black/white drag racer on the box top does. The RC2-era reissue (red car on dark background) from about 2003 or so does not- it has a topper shell instead. Some of the camper parts are included (front and rear walls if I recall) but the rest is AWOL.

With a pre-decorated set of Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock figures! Seriously- even though modelers don't seem to be tripping over one another for bus kits, I am a little suprised this one's never been done as a kit, simply because it's an icon. Somebody says 'city bus', the picture you see in your head is most likely a GMC Fishbowl. Can't say I'd be up for any myself, but I would love to see it kitted! But not before a pre '77 IH Loadstar, or a first-gen Scout.

That's an ex-IMC kit. It can be a bit fiddly to assemble, but it's a pretty good kit.

Penciled in the suspension- actually managed to get it a bit lower in back, but the front sits a little higher now. Might fix that, might not... still needs a little bit of daylight under the rockers for the lake pipes I plan to put on it. Also plugged in a Cadillac 345 engine I already built years ago.

Really think basing your opinion of a kit manufacturer based on one kit is fair? Check out the newer tool Lindberg kits- the '53 Fords, '61 Impala, F-150s and yes, even these 1:20 kits. They're leaps and bounds better than the old hot rod kits. The current Charger/Super Bee/Police Car kit is one of the best kits on the market.

Started with the Revell COPO kit, then slapped on three Rallys and a Cragar, and stuffed in an inline six from a Trumpeter Nova.

I bought the kit a few years back and wasn't too impressed with it- the turbine engine in particular is pretty crude. If you could get one for cheap it might be worth it, but I guess it's just not my thing.

Not a big fan of 'bubble' tops, but I'm seriously toying with the idea of grafting the one from the Roth Beatnik Bandit onto this. Yes, I know it might resemble a Powell Homer if I do! Any thoughts?

Really looking forward to the Convertible variant- I'm thinking of 'rolling my own' version of the old Rambler visible unibody promo...

If you see them going for between 20 and 50, if I were selling it, I'd go for something like $35. Probably more than I'd pay for that particular kit, but remember, you can always reduce the price later if there is no interest. My rule of thumb when I sell stuff is- 'Never price it higher than what I'd pay for it myself.'

Yep- you'll see a raised lip around the perimeter of the front and rear glass- that represents the window seals, which are chrome. Best thing might be to foil them, then paint the edges black to represent the exposed rubber, but I'm not sure my hands are that steady.

Really like the stance here- bugger is, the front frame crossmember is sitting on the ground! The front end could theoretically go even lower!

Oh- did you notice the molded lip on the glass (windsheild and backlight pane)? Don't forget to foil it!

Well- they shouldn't be black anyway- foiling them would probably be better. I think the best solution would be to foil them, then paint the edges flat black. (Note- this is a lower-price Pacemaker model, so it does not have the bright windsheild and backlight surrounds the Hornet does- this car is also a '51)

Nice! I've used that same color on quite a few projects of my own- looks great on the Hud. Bonus points for keeping the cut lines for the panel between the trunk and back window intact- those try to make an escape along with the mold lines in that area when you sand the body.

You're still further ahead with your tuck and roll side panels than me, though- I've only gotten as far as tracing out the stock panels onto a piece of styrene sheet.

Forgot this kit existed! Love seeing it converted to a 4-door wagon.

There were some available years ago from either John Heyer Resin or Model Cars and Parts- they were pretty much direct repops of the SMP/AMT kit parts. I used the parts on the AMT cab- they seem just an eensy-teensy bit smaller than whatever scale the new-tool AMT kit is (1:25), so they're just a bit smaller than that assuming the AMT kit is scaled correctly. Not sure how they'd work in the Revell kit.

Yeah, I'd be inclined to say those count.

As far as good kits of this body style, I don't think there are any!
