  1. Binder? You know that's an International, right? Dig the truck, Mr. Bad. The 1:1 and the replica.
  2. I think parts By Parks did some Starburst wheel covers at one point, but I'm not sure. They might just be plain smooth ones. I HAVE seen some spun aluminum 1:25 Starburst covers, I just can't think of who made them for sure. About the closest I've seen in kit form are the fluted discs in the Studebaker Avanti kit, but they're just different enough in appearance to be a no-go if you want the Starburst look.
  3. Sweet. Might need to pick one up just for that engine. Always wanted to throw together a hot rod with a European four-banger for power.
  4. Ah, Scale-Master decals. What's the name of the guy who makes those...? On a serious note, though, I do have to say the chassis/drivetrain detail is pretty impressive for such an oddball kit, and the detailing you did really makes it jump. Never really thought much of this kit, but I might just have to pick one up now.
  5. Wow! Surfite fever all of a sudden! Guess I'll have to check out Mark's now as well- but I really like this one too. Nicely built and with an interesting diorama background to boot. Gotta ask- is the lady part of the kit?
  6. DISREGARD THAT LAST POST- Now I get it... http://www.vsrnonline.com/bdr_ads/Beatnik.jpg
  7. Okay... huh? This Beatnik Bandit kit? I ask because I have several issues of this kit, and NONE of them have an MII front suspension, nor a one-piece frame. Was there more than one version of this kit or something? That and the 1:1 Beatnik Banit was built in 1961.... meaning it's way too early for an MII unless it was retrofitted later.
  8. What kind of engine is that?
  9. Very cool so far. Love that JF body- has the styling of a '34 but it's Model T bite-size. A perfect body for an Altered drag car!
  10. Not to spit hairs, but being Ford-based, I think it should be a RANCHERO, not a CAMINO. And yes, that is the only 'negative' thing I have to say about it. This is one of those models that's just beyond cool in every way, from the craftsmanship to the actual design. It's one of those models you'd love to see someone 'replicate' in full scale.
  11. Revell's 32 Fords- but I actually build those as well. Never have (likely never will) build the '66 Pro Street Nova, but I will raid it for parts.
  12. A bit clunky and heavy duty looking. That and the Wagon Rod front suspension looks a bit more like a modified GM IFS than an MII setup, at least if I recall.
  13. Can I get a standing ovation for this man, please! Couldn't have said it better. I don't mind a pic or two being quoted if the person responding is pointing something out, but if it's an exact copy of the post with nothing more than "Kool model, bro!" at the end, that person is usually on my ignore list after a few more instances of same. Funny how they love 'quoting' pics over there, but post a thread that's almost kinda/sorta related to another one and watch the old timers throw a fit.
  14. The Revell/Monogram '37 FORDS are 1:24, but depending on what particular 1:25 vehicle you use it on, the scale difference doesn't matter much.
  15. Wait- what? A General Lee themed model Dan actually likes? Is that crackling sound I hear glaciers flowing over Hades?
  16. Know what's really funny? I did a search for Doyusha Bluebirds, and in the images, most of what I saw on the first page was posted on this thread.
  17. Sounds like a plan to me! Gotta ask- that wouldn't happen to be a set of Mopar cop wheels on it in the very first pic, would it?
  18. Last I knew it was still in the AMT catalog- it's just molded in blue now.
  19. You might have to wait, but Al is a good guy and he will NOT steer you wrong! If an issue arises, he'll let you know. He's an upfront, no bs, just the facts kind of guy. I can say first hand the quaility of his product speaks for itself, you won't be disappointed at all in that respect.
  20. What Dave said. In additon, I think the AMT '55/57 Chevy Pickup street machines had a similar intake, caveat being I'm trusting my own memory here, and it could be a later-style dual plane intake on those.
  21. That's the beauty AND the beast of a free market... whatever particular item you have is worth whatever someone will pay you for it.
  22. The turbines look pretty good on it, but I'd go with the Watanabe wheels just for the kink factor (given the paint/graphics scheme in this case).
