  1. Somehow an orange Bluebird doesn't sit well, but it works just fine for me. I've really been wanting to locate one of these- I'm assuming its a 1:24 curbside style kit, right?
  2. By the way- that engine looks INCREDIBLE!
  3. MCM 162 shows how they're routed- they had kind of a weird setup for the heater hoses.
  4. Cut down a '51 Chevy grille to use, now just need to dig up some bumpers.
  5. If I recall, the '62 Ford Fairlane annual had one.
  6. Ditto- which is exactly why I like it!
  7. If you look at the most recent reissue, you'll see it still has the 7" LCD TV monitors from the Rides issue in the backs of the bucket seats, and that four-gauge panel on the dash was another LCD screen in that issue. If you get the Rides issue, in addition to the pro street chassis you get a stand-alone LCD display, a laptop computer, a PS2 and a controller for it. I routinely hoard those PS2 controlers as there was an air-suspension controler with the same shape.
  8. Didn't even know there was resin of this Suburban body style. My eye keeps getting drawn to that bright green '59/60 (?) Chevy wagon.
  9. Very cool kit- looks like a perfect candidate for a resto, from both the subject matter and the condition of the built up.
  10. DeSoto grille in the stock surround seems a popular setup on these.
  11. Great save! I did kinda like how it looked in orange, though.
  12. The store or the message board? Never bought anything from them, but I have been on their board quite a bit. Pretty good place to be, if the old-school format doesn't give you headaches.
  13. Oh- the 'Rides Magazine' reissue of the '66 Nova has the Pro Street chassis as well, but you are on your own as far as tires go. The Resto Mods version had the stock style chassis, interior, engine bay, etc.
  14. Now, if only they would reissue the '67 Chevelle Pro Street kit!
  15. Yeah- same here. Glad to hear I wasn't the only one!
  16. Not planning an exact duplicate, but something along these lines.
  17. Sweet!
  18. I knew it was going to be good- three Hudson Hornets, a '55 and '56 Packard, and a Jag Xj220 on the cover- three of my favorite cars of all time. On top of that- a '78 Ford LTD in Resin Talk AND a pricey (but oh-so-cool) '73 LTD model in Collector's Showcase. And after looking at page 32, I dug out a long-lost Sidewinder kit. Those were the highlights for me anyway.
  19. Love seeing this one on the bench, it's making me want to dig out my stalled Datsun variant!
  20. You can also delete your own topics- I do that when I find something I need in the Wanted section. Unless there's some useful information in the posts, then I just lock it so that info is still out there for people to read.
  21. Yeah- found that out the fun way- yanked the radiator off the chassis during a test fit. Between the tight fit of the radiator/core support and the rear mounting surface, you can almost get away with using no glue to attach the completed chassis/interior assembly into the body.
  22. What Nick said. When Rob gets his question answered, he locks the topic so it doesn't go on and on forever.
  23. Well, Fiat is already selling a rebadged Dodge Journey in Europe, so I suppose anything is possible.
