I like the rollbar AND the boot- I'd say make them both removable so you could display it either way.
And yeah- I just used the 'oblong' tire mounting hole trick on a project I just finished- it was that or have the right front tire about three scale inches up in the air.
Toying around with the Matador today, wondering about slapping twin turbos on that Viper V10. I figure it's not going to clear the stock hood anyway, so why not?
Dusenberg? Looks like the '32 Chrysler engine to me. (I KNOW that's where that grille came from. )
But whatever the case, I love it. A Chevy powered by ANYTHING but a Chevy engine is cool to me.
I rarely bother with Testors spray cans anymore- if I want a rattle can, I can get the big cans of Duplicolor for only about a buck and a half more than Testors in my area.
Now that you mention it, I think you're right.
Really just getting into building Fox body models- I have to say one of my favorite things about this thread (besides all the cool projects) is all the information about the particular kits!
Isn't the Turbo Cobra kit (the one recently reissued as a 'Motorworks' release and molded in red) a tweaked McLaren? I've heard that it was, but I've also heard it was based on a Capri.
Should be- as far as I know, the only later model Jeepsters and Commandos were the MPC kits- which were later updated to the 'Bullnose' version reissued by Stevens International a few years back. Aside from the changes to convert the original second-gen to the Bullnose (which pretty much ended with the body) the chassis in all of those kits were the same.
I think the '08 Bullitt had HIDs as well, but the kit still had the standard reflectors. Probably not a big issue, as the HID piece would have been about 1mm square. Well, maybe 1mm wide 1.5 mm high.
I never log off this site either, but when I shut down, when I come back I have to sign back in. I use IE, but I don't use IE to remember my passwords, so I have to log back in manually every time.
