  1. The Center Door T body ships today- guess I'll have it around Friday or so. In the meantime, I've been 'parts harvesting'... I made up a grenade shifter, and a connecting rod was made up for use as a steering arm, it was made from styrene sheet and Ma's Resin bolt heads. The other little doodads are spares box scores.
  2. You're both right and wrong, both wrong and right! I'd call it a sort of 'brownish orange'.
  3. Jeep fans can call me out if I'm wrong, but isn't the Daisy Duke Jeep a CJ2? Or is that a CJ5?
  4. Awesome! Kind of like a futuristic jalopy! (Note- I mean that in a good way!)
  5. Do I have to say I like where this is going?
  6. Oh, yeah, when stock cars were... you know, STOCK!!!! And the big Fords were king. (Or, sometimes Mopars and Pontiacs!) You had to be a bit maso to be a Chevy racing fan back then, for sure.
  7. Ah- right before RC2 started giving us useless color charts, 'exploded view' instrution sheets, and exhaust manifolds on the block, not the head!
  8. 1996-ish, if I recall. Mid 1990's for sure.
  9. I've always wanted to build a Pocher Bugatti coupe, because it is (by classic Pocher standards) easiest to build, and is a cool subject I like. But the price and rarity of the kits, as well as the huge investment of time it would take, kind of keeps it out of my reach, at least for now. That, and I'm kind of afraid of finishing it and getting sucked into the "Pocher Trap"...
  10. Whoa... when did Sir James Dyson start designing cars? Christian- I always thought there was a vomiting smiley, too! They need to add one for just such occasions. There's plenty of room on the emoticons screen for one!
  11. Oh, I'd also like to get more of the Renwal Revival kits(I've got the Packard... one down, three to go!), several of the '57 International Golden Jubilee promos, and at least one Premiere Studebaker Champ kit.
  12. The good old 440 Magnum, I'd assume. That's what the original kit came with, and it doesn't look like there's any new tooling for this reissue. It's a nicely detailed engine and has the 727 automatic with a separate pan.
  13. (Too busy drooling, rubbing my hands together, and giggling like a little girl to say anything coherent...)
  14. The '69 was cool... but now the '68? Awesome! Are those Satco gold line tires on the '68?
  15. DON'T TEST FIT THE DOORS! The hinges are really frail, and one 'test fit and remove' session can snap them off like nobody's bidness. They look like they'll never fit right until the roof is glued on, or at least taped in place. I'd save instalation of the doors until nearly the end of assembly.
  16. Nope, so I can enjoy a nice, juicy stake (sic) when I'm not doing anything close to a stock build!
  17. It won't be molded in orange! Thank Gawd! Only problem is I've already got enough of the last reissue in my stash to tide me over for at least a decade.
  18. I plan on getting a few more AMT Ford C-cab Stake Bed kits, when extra cash permits!
  19. How about the '72 Gran Torino from... uh.. "Gran Torino"?
  20. YOu might be able to build a model of the '77 Cobra II from "Starman" with the AMT kit.
  21. Just putting it out there- I am in need of the 'zoomie' headers from the AMT boat kit (the one reissued with the '70 Pontiac a couple of years ago)These are the ones I'm talking about- And I'm also in dire need of a pair of Monogram '41 Lincoln wheels, hubcaps, and whitewall tires. I've got stuff to trade- get with me on the details!
  22. The styrene gods smiled upon me this day!
  23. Aw, yeah!
  24. Put simply, an out of box build is... incredibly boring!
