  1. I've had this one in my stash for a while now, but I've finally concocted a plan for it! First off, I've got this crusty old bed from my spares box- which is in the paint stripper as I post this. I have no idea what kit it came from. (Anyone?) And, I've managed to test out some rollers, and the stance- It's a simple old curbside kit, so I think whatever I do will be an easy build, but the sheer "weirdness" of a Transit should make up for any lack of effort on my part!
  2. I'm thinking of building my old 1:1, AND stuffing a big block into another one. Of course, I'll keep ya posted!
  3. I still have to wonder- Round 2, Hawk-Lindberg, and a few Japanese kit makers still include sidewall lettering on at least their reissued kits- what do they know that Revell doesn't?
  4. Just tell us it's the stock, Standard version, which nobody seems to remember. I think the Transit shows some potential...
  5. How about the hearse from "The Hearse"? Or that lime green hearse from "Six Feet Under"? (The lame TV show, not the death metal band.)
  6. I look at it that way too... but we're running out of greedy tire manufacturers, and my truck's gonna need some new rollers soon... Guess I'm going "off brand" this time.
  7. I've always wondered how accurate those dashboard MPG displays were ever since I became familiar with the feature in my old Lincoln Town Car- is this barge REALLY traveling to the tune of 25 MPG? Sure, under perfect conditions a Town Car MIGHT get 25 (an a good, long stretch of interstate), but the number on the dash never quite met up with the 'old-school' calculations.
  8. I just got THIS .... I'll be paying on it three years, but so worth it! Then, I awoke from the dream.
  9. You'd need to figure out the wheels as well, the kit includes stockers only.
  10. I'm already diggin' that stance!
  11. Not if you want a straight answer!
  12. How cool would that have been... a SOHC Boss 429?
  13. Oh, yeah! Love this one.
  14. The Center Door T body ships today- guess I'll have it around Friday or so. In the meantime, I've been 'parts harvesting'... I made up a grenade shifter, and a connecting rod was made up for use as a steering arm, it was made from styrene sheet and Ma's Resin bolt heads. The other little doodads are spares box scores.
  15. You're both right and wrong, both wrong and right! I'd call it a sort of 'brownish orange'.
  16. Jeep fans can call me out if I'm wrong, but isn't the Daisy Duke Jeep a CJ2? Or is that a CJ5?
  17. Awesome! Kind of like a futuristic jalopy! (Note- I mean that in a good way!)
  18. Do I have to say I like where this is going?
  19. Oh, yeah, when stock cars were... you know, STOCK!!!! And the big Fords were king. (Or, sometimes Mopars and Pontiacs!) You had to be a bit maso to be a Chevy racing fan back then, for sure.
  20. Ah- right before RC2 started giving us useless color charts, 'exploded view' instrution sheets, and exhaust manifolds on the block, not the head!
  21. 1996-ish, if I recall. Mid 1990's for sure.
  22. I've always wanted to build a Pocher Bugatti coupe, because it is (by classic Pocher standards) easiest to build, and is a cool subject I like. But the price and rarity of the kits, as well as the huge investment of time it would take, kind of keeps it out of my reach, at least for now. That, and I'm kind of afraid of finishing it and getting sucked into the "Pocher Trap"...
  23. Whoa... when did Sir James Dyson start designing cars? Christian- I always thought there was a vomiting smiley, too! They need to add one for just such occasions. There's plenty of room on the emoticons screen for one!
