  1. Young boys today... how do they get all this cash to buy these rare, expensive old Mopar muscle cars?
  2. DUMP HER!!!! DUMPHERDUMPHERDUMPHERDUMPHERDUMPHER!!!!!!!! Whoa, sorry... might've overeacted there!
  3. That pink coupe up at the top of the screen... anyone else notice it seems to be rotating a little bit each day! I could've sworn it was right-side up yesterday!
  4. Personally, I believe car modeling will go on in some form or another, as long as 1:1 vehicles exist and there is an interest in them beyond mere 'transportation modules'. Car modeling existed long before AMT popped it's first annual promo, it's still going strong (maybe not as 'huge' as it once was, but still chug-a-lug-a-lugging right along, thank you), and it'll be around longer than any of us. Sure, maybe kits won't be recognizable in 50 or 100 years, and maybe the materials and processes will change, but I'm not at all worried about the existence of scale modeling!
  5. Just a few ancient buildups of mine, in no alphabetical, emotional, and/or particular order... '79 Ford F-350 Camper Special 4x4 '70 Ford Galaxie beater '78 IH Scout II Plow Truck '89 Taurus, which will eventually end up in a demolition derby diorama '59 Cadillac Hearse (modified AMT Ecto 1a with a Monogram grille and bumper) '37 Ford Truckster Rod '41 Plymouth Street Rod (yes, it has a Hemi, 6.1 from an '06 Magnum in this case) '47 Chevy Barnette Hearse
  6. Glad to see some progress on this one again!
  7. This is a cool old kit- I did one years ago as a gasser. There seem to be quite a few old Heller kits being built all of a sudden. Don't get me wrong though- that's a good thing!
  8. I'd just use the stock manifolds as a reference- these were pretty simple engines with siameesed ports.
  9. Good to see the Lincoln V12 going to good use! And it looks like you're going to beat me to building my Renault Vivastella hot rod!
  10. I don't know- that Metro of yours can take quite a beating!
  11. Now that I think of it- I don't think I've ever owned a 'real' car!
  12. Yeah- she's been roughed up a bit!
  13. Maybe. But you're in good company!
  14. Looking good- I think this is the first one of these I've ever seen going together!
  15. Very cool- there was a beat up green Nova in Hot Rod a few years back that was quite similar to this- rough outside, but packing an overbuilt BBC under the hood! Sweet, indeed.
  16. Forgotten? I've got at least one each of those in my stash! (Well, except the Revell '55 Chevy Convert and the '67 Vettes.) Want some forgotten kits? I've got a few! Renwal '66 Packard Heller Citroen Trefle Heller Renault Vivastella Or, my favorite of the bunch... Esci's Ford Transit Of the above, probably only the Transit has any shot at being finished by the end of '10 because it's a pretty simple curbside, but who knows? Maybe I'll jump in on this one.
  17. Some of my personal faves...(What? Like I can only choose one?)
  18. Seth Rogan... then they could use the same figure for the Buick from Zack and Miri... or the Daewoo from Pineapple Express!
  19. I've got every Megadeth song ever recorded on my computer, and quite a few other complete albums and individual songs- right now I'm playing Gordon Lightfoot's "Gord's Gold". An hour from now, it might be Slayer or Bob Dylan- just kind of depends on what mood I'm in. Sheesh- I've even got a Lady Gaga song or two on there! (Mmmmmmm... meat dress... )
  20. Sigh... you've always got to one up me! Although... yeah, I'd get the Duel 'Combo Pack', too! Truth be told- I'm a little surprised no one has ever kitted the truck from Duel, it would be a cool subject even beyond the movie truck. Then again... what about a kit of "The Car", complete with a James Brolin figure?
  21. Great reference for that new Time Machine SSII Trankit I have ordered!
  22. Dude... find one and D-O I-T!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. I hope Moebius sells lots and lots and lots of those new Chrysler, Hudson, and Lonestar kits. Why? Because I think I know a subject that would be perfect for Moebius... the Green Hornet Black Beauty! Make it a 2-in-1, build it as the TV (and upcoming movie car, hint-hint) or as a stock '66 Imp! If the new Moebius car kits are a sucess, hey, who says it couldn't happen? I don't know about you, but I'd buy at LEAST five or six of them!
  24. Perhaps this... in these PC, sensitive times, should we still be referring to these cars as 'Midgets'?
