  1. Yeah- those Ford FE 427s had a way of doing that.
  2. Two nights up until 5AM sounds about right for fitting the fenders on that particular kit! Looking great so far.
  3. Nicest '66 Nova I've seen in quite a while.
  4. Man, that thing could kill you if you matted the gas a bit to hard! Killer hot rod.
  5. Tell him that'll be $14.95, please.
  6. Thanks!
  7. Cool- thanks! All the street machine versions I've seen had "Viper V-10" listed on the box. (You know- that time in the late 1990's when AMT started getting vauge with descriptions on the box ? Yeah...) This info will help quite a bit!
  8. I've seen the Street Machine version of this kit, but it appears to have a Viper V-10 engine. Yet I keep seeing the "Mopar" cast valve covers for the 340 on several models, and everybody refers to them as being from the "Duster Street Machine" kit. Were there two different non-stock versions of the kit, or do I have something mixed up? Which one has the Mopar Performance valve covers?
  9. Jimmy Flintstone makes one- it comes with a body, glass, and uses a Revell Corvette as the donor.
  10. Thanks Guys! Now did anybody see the two killer BH hot rods in the latest MCM! (Big hint... one was on the cover!)
  11. Awwww... what's so sad about a Hemi-powered Jag?
  12. Premiere did make a Champ pickup kit, but it was kind of crude and underscale. At any rate, good luck finding one today! I think SJS did a custom Champ pickup in resin years ago, but it also is no longer available. Yeah- I'd buy either one... or a Hawk!
  13. Not a big fire rig builder myself, but I enjoy seeing them. Very cool model!
  14. Call me crazy, but I've always liked the '58 Chevys better than the '57's everyone else seems to love! This one's a beauty- just the right amount of custom touches, but it's pure " '58 Chevy-ness" still shows through.
  15. Couple of golden oldies! Or is that moldy oldies? Anywho... some classic R&R resin FoMoCo iron... '72 Effie '67 Galaxie And here's that Bandit Resin Grabber hood for the Mav I got a few days ago... good stuff!
  16. Fun fact- Neil Young is co-owner of Lionel trains today! 'Nother Fun Fact- Mike Gross (the dad on "Family Ties" and Burt Gummer from the "Tremors" movies) is an avid model railroader. What? I look in on other hobbies sometimes!
  17. Lessee... Red? Tastes like burned paint. Black? Tastes like burned paint. Yellow? Tastes like bannanas! No, no, wait... burned paint. Purple? Burned Paint? Burnt Amber? Burnt Amber...
  18. If you don't mind that rich, 'baked enamel' flavor!
  19. Actually it was Pyro who cut the corners. Lindberg just saw some reason to reissue the kit! It'll take a lot of work for this kit to look cool, but seeing what you've done in the past I think you can make something cool out of it!
  20. Good (or is it bad?) news... I'm halfway through yet ANOTHER Volksrod buildup! It's even a -gasp- WATER COOLED Vee-Dub!
  21. Is that the old Earnhardt Wrangler car?
  22. I'm not even a huge fan of Chevy motors and I wouldn't mind one!
  23. Usually, when I spend months on something it ends in colossal failure!
  24. Already looking good, Jeff!
  25. Oh... that's just the fuel filler and cap- the tank is just beneath the rear window on the interior's package shelf.
