  1. The "El Ponchero" works pretty well as a real vehicle!
  2. Ahhhh... still, two '53 Effie Cammers wouldn't be such a bad thing to have!
  3. I've always had good luck with Doc O'Brien's weathering powders- just dust 'em on and seal it with a dull coat. Takes a little bit of practice, but it's easy once you find your groove. Some rust on the wheels and a light blackwash on everything should do the rest!
  4. That's why I like Knight Rider. The Hoff never killed anyone. Well, except for the bad guy in "Knight Rider 2000" (Played by that Mitch guy who was Skinner on the X Files). But Knight Rider 2000 kinda sucked, so does it really count?
  5. What's wrong with grungy old sock puppets, Steve? Once you get past the creepiness, they're pretty entertaining!
  6. Model. Yep, keeping it brief.
  7. Wow, Mike- I thought I was the only guy who built a Soch '53 Effie, and you've got two? I've got some catching up to do...
  8. If I ever leave (fat chance o' that) I'm not going to announce it- I think it would be a lot more effective to just mysteriously disappear for a month or so.
  9. How the hey-all do you lose a Pocher kit!? (Remember when you told me there was no demand for a Veyron kit?)
  10. Bernard is right- Norm is one of the best in the biz, and his products are among the finest out there- website or no. My only gripe about Replicas and Miniatures? I can't afford to buy ten of everything he sells!
  11. And my first model was a SnapTite Fox Mustang I didn't even bother to paint! I've been building for 21 years and half my stuff doesn't look this cool.
  12. Actually, it's "C-Train". But C-Mos isn't too bad.
  13. Who says everything that CAN be done to a Deuce HAS been done to a Deuce? Makes me wanna try a '49 Merc drift car...
  14. It's also a tiny car- even in the 'large-ish' 1:24 scale, it's smaller than any of the 1:25 Model T Ford bodies I have stacked like so much cordwood.
  15. I'm still not clear on one thing... since my screen name is my real name, do I really need my real name in my sig? I mean, come on... my middle name IS a tad embarassing!
  16. Whew... ya had me worried there, Chilly! Glad to see you've still got your sense of humor!
  17. Not a big fan of 'Vettes myself, but I love this one! Can't say I've ever seen anything even remotely like that done to an early 'Vette!
  18. Dean's Hobby Stop in Flushing Michigan, my friend, where I get all my 'oddball' stuff. Here's what I started with...
  19. You don't know your age or birthday? That's sad, man...

  20. Your avatar would make a killer T-shirt!

  21. $7.50!? You suck, Dave! As the Hemmings Motor News guys say, "Well bought".
  22. I remember buying this kit in 1999 and being impressed by it's awfulness. I never finished that one. Now that my skills are up, I picked one up about a year and a half ago to try and improve it. Then along comes Jeff, who no doubt has one-upped (no... upped a thousand fold) the best possible end result I could've gotten out of mine. Thanks! Thanks a lot Jeff! You crushed my spirit and ruined my whole day! In the best way possible, of course!
  23. I must have a thing for Citroens, as this is the third one I've 'ratt-ified' so far... No, it's not a bathtub, or an egg. It's a '24 5CV powered by an air cooled three cylinder made from a halved Corvair six. No idea if the seats on it vibrate, like on a modern Citroen, but maybe they do. As always, the link to the bonus footage: http://public.fotki.com/ChuckMost/rat-alley/24-citroen-c-bucket/
  24. Duhhhhh indeed, George!
