  1. I'll say what Ernie said!

  2. I got several bags of parts today- almost enough Model T parts to build three or four '25 and '27 T rods and still have enough spares left for that many more kits. I just might run over to Dean's today, as well- unless the snow's worse than I think it is. Non model related, but I (finally!) picked up Endgame, the new Megadeth album, and I'm still debating whether or not I'll be picking up that DVD of Inglorious Basterds I've had my eye on for a while now.
  3. Buck Smallwood... there's a name you'll never forget! Awesome.

  4. Isn't that from an ICP song?
  5. She's shaping up to be a real beauty, Mike... so much so that I can easily look past the Chev motor! And THAT'S saying something coming from me!
  6. Right! It wouldn't... on a stocker... That or it was an oversight on my part. Either way, dude!
  7. Here she is- my first build of '10... Other than the Astro Supremes ('73 Cougar) and the narrow white Firestones ('62 Electra), she's totally box stock, with nothing more than a basic shave and a low stance.
  8. That's what kind of tipped me off.... sheesh, not even Bill goes to that level of detail! Well, not on the wing window weatherstripping, anyway!
  9. Q- How to you cut the ocean? A- With a sea saw. -rimshot-
  10. I think it's real, the tires may just be overinflated... ! I'm going with real... check out the weatherstrip in the wing-vent windows- I don't see how ANYBODY could replicate that as well as it looks in the photo. Then again, I'm a ham-fisted, semitalented hack, so what the hey-all do I know!?
  11. I was reading in the Free Press about seven years ago about mechanics in Iraq- guys who've been rebuilding radiators with nothing but steel wool and battery acid since they were 9 years old. Kind of the same thing- ol' Saddam didn't let parts for old American cars into Iraq, so they had to kind of cobble up what they needed. Think about THAT next time you get the wrong part from the nearest Auto Zone!
  12. Even if it doesn't, I'll still be buying at least one!
  13. Bobby and his galpal were walking down the path that led to the deserted lover's lane. His girl saw two rabbits doing what comes naturally along the path and asked: "Bobby- what are those two rabbits doing?" "They're making cigarettes, babe." He answered. A while later, Bobby and his girl retuned back the way they came along the same path. Bobby's girl asked: "What kind of cigarettes did we make?" "Well," Bobby replied, "If you get a hump in your belly it was a Camel, and if you don't it was a Lucky Strike."
  14. Gregg- think about what you could do for the hobby with all o' that money!
  15. I wouldn't have traded the Mustang for the Monte- I'd have kept the Mustang around and dropped the 3.8 into the Monte. Or, if I did trade a 'Stang for a Monte, I'd drop a Ford 5.0 in it, just because I know it would make so many o' dem uppity Bow Tie boys projectile vomit!
  16. I've seen it done, and with very nice and convincing results, but have yet to try it myself. Let us know how it comes out.
  17. All I've found so far is this limo pull-back toy from Kinsmart- I think I bought it at a gas station about ten years ago- it cost around $2.99. I don't remember the scale- I'll have to check it out later, but it's about five inches long. There was also a 1/24 scale (give or take) Lincoln Navigator die cast. I had one a few years ago, and it wasn't the best detail wise.
  18. Tom- that'll do! Thanks!
  19. "Flying Toilet" ha! Isn't that what they called the faux spare on the decklid of many late '50's and early '60's Mopars? How much do you reckon heavy use of hallucinogens played into that design? I've been eyeing that Ross Gibson Sonoramic 426 for a while- I'd originally inteded to use one in my Little Red trucster, but cobbled one up from strips of kit exhaust pipes instead. This is a very cool intake setup, and would be perfect for a hot rod model.
  20. I think Revell-o-gram really screwed the pooch by not making a stock version of the MkVII kit. Way to show 'em! And a '92 is a Mk VII... the Mk VIII designation didn't come along until the '93 redesign.
  21. I'm surprised there's no Town Car in kit form... not even a resin body for the Lindberg Crown Vic! Killer!
  22. I've seen the Motor City Resin Casters '72 Ranchero kit on their website, but they only have the one front 3/4 view of it. I was wondering if anybody out there has built it and has some photos of the finished interior, engine bay, and exterior from a few different angles? Thanks- Chuck
  23. A Corbitt? That's good and obscure! Nice work so far!
  24. Received that ransom money yet? Maybe it's time to lay down the law and start mailing Zoom Zoom pieces of the sign...
