  7. every one has a problem with that roof seam. If only AMT would make a solid cab it would eliminate that problem, but that will never happen....
  8. Nice job on the opening doors. Looks good!
  9. Sean, nice looking 2 story freight shaker. If it had a red " S " on the door it would almost look like the old color theme Safeway Trucks use to have. I like it.
  10. Looks great with the extended hood....If you have to come in on the hook do it in style.............
  11. Sorry to hear about your super glue problems...I use super glue on some parts and not on others. When I do use ca I use the medium one which suppose to bond in 10-15 seconds. I also use accelerator. Are you using accelerator? If I use accelerator I usually dip a tooth pick style stick or a piece of sprue to dip in the kicker ( accelerator ) and put a drop where the ca is applied. Hope that helps
  12. Be real careful when you cut the parts off the sprue on the re-issue mercury sleeper. the connect points are big and when you cut them off they leave that big white spot where they were connected . I sprayed my first one with clear coat to help keep finger prints off. it also helped to tone it down a bit. next one will be sprayed with dull coat to give an aluminum look......
  13. Welcome aboard Richard......you will have a lot of fun here and learn a lot also. I am also 1/24th and 1/25th scale truck builder only. Feel free to post pictures of progress.....Also good place to locate parts.....Lucas
  14. I can back up any combination around until they decide to go their own way.....LOL!!!!
  15. Third on the paint scheme....Looks great overall so far
  16. What holds the log loads secured are called wrapper because as the term implies they are wrapped around the logs. They are to start with a cable and they have about a 2 foot piece of chain on each end. The wrappers are tossed over the load of logs and then you grab one end and bring it under the load and you hook a chain binder to it and the hook the other end of the binder to the other end and you grab your cheater bar and cinch it down. A regular load requires 3 wrappers but up here in the Northwest they started putting more axles on so now most loads require 4 wrappers.....I made my wrappers from picture frame hanging wire and used some small chain on the ends and crimped them together with some small metal jewelry connecting ends, the kind you can crimp together.... I got my working chain binders from KFS out of England. Hope that helps
  17. They look great to me, a lot of nice detail.......Seatlle Seahawks super bowl bound again!!!!!!!!!!!
