  1. Nice work. I'm impressed with the bodywork. Mike
  2. I appreciate everyone's suggestion so far. The static charge suggestion. That is one I'd never would have thought of. Thanks, Mike
  3. I have a Flintstone Mercury that I'd like to thin to make it easier to make the kit full detailed. Any good and safe ways to thin the body down? Thanks, Mike
  4. Tom: What tires and wheels are you using? Mike
  5. What about the MPC 1925 T Switchers kit? I think, at least the original issue had a Modified T body made into a C Cab. Mike
  6. Once again I wish we had a Hobby Lobby less than an hour away. I do have the advantage of a good hobby shop about forty minutes away. Guess that makes up for it. Mike
  7. I'd like to have one for myself. Look's like a great start. Mike
  8. It's interesting to note that other magazine's board doesn't say a thing about this. I hope its not true as I'd like to get a hold of some more Boyd's kits like the Aluma Coupe. Mike
  9. Sweet looking. 1/16 scale or 1/25? Also can you post contact info for both Larry and Chuck? Thanks, Mike
  10. I have the seafoam green '64 Ford that is posted above. My plan is to swap in a late model Mustang interior and merge the Mustang and the Thunderbolt's chassis. I need to find the right rubber and wheels as well as the motor. Mike
  11. I hope it works for you. If I remember correctly that's where the Ford archives are located. I understand trying to reconnect with your past. My great, great grandfather owned a construction company in Cincinnati, OH. I'd love to find either the concrete stamp or a piece of sidewalk with the Ditchen construction name embedded in it. Mike
  12. Connect the folks at the Henry Ford Museum at http://www.thehenryford.org/ Tell them your story. They might be able to help. Mike
  13. NHRA lost my respect when the US Nationals became the Mac Tools-Little Debbie Snack Cakes-Depends-US Nationals. The Nationals were the Nationals, the only race that mattered. The race that made careers. Mike
  14. I don't know what race you were at but the Summer Nationals are at Englishtown. Sorry, they sold you the wrong tickets. :D  Mike
  15. The great thing about this challenge is the number of kits that are being built that serve as inspiration. While I often look at the drawings and think I ought to do that some day, I never do. This has shown me how doable many of these builds are to accomplish. Some of the drawings that I ignored initially I now look at and think, that's cool. I have my own JWAC Challenge car I need to get started on. Hopefully I'll be there in a month. Keep up the good work! Mike
  16. That looks closer to being right as far as being a funny car than most resin castings I've seen. Mike
  17. To quote one sage, "What something is worth is what a willing seller sells an item to a willing buyer." I've seen too many things go for way more money than I think an item is worth as well as seen too many things not bring what I thought it should to trust any printed guide. Mike
  18. There's seems to always be a demand by a select few for MiniLites. How in the world to keep four matched, I have no clue. Mike
  19. That last posting works. Any chance of you redoing the first installment? Thanks, Mike
  20. I really like your work...This is great inspiration. I hope you'll combine your posts using larger type to add readability. I'll be on the lookout for a T/A to make my own. Mike
  21. The Lindberg kit is a lump..... AMT made a reasonable annual kit. Mike
  22. The front fenders look too busy. The gills on both top and bottom are distracting. Maybe a single row on top that was two thirds the size. The character line around the wheel well does look like its origins are the '68 or '69 Camaro. In addition the dual side exhausts and the lower panel before the rear wheel well distracts from the billboard of the rear fender. I think the up tick at the end of the lower panel disrupts the visual flow. If you want to have side exhaust dumps, I'd move them to the rear wheel well. Overall I like the design. It just have a few details that I don't care for. It has great potential. Mike
  23. This looks like a project I started several years ago. One thing I struggled with is the front end. I tried to replace the grille with a custom unit. That derailed the project. Looking at your, I might have to pull it out and try again. Mike
  24. BSRrep.com They seem the best. Mike
  25. I agree with the don't paint it. That kit has a great patina that some builders would spend days to try to create. Mike
