  1. I go through the same thing. These days, I've pretty much adopted the attitude to just go with it, enjoy the hobby, try to shrug my shoulders at the mistakes.

  25. The tried and true AMT Roadrunner. A very nice kit, goes together very well with no issues. I’ve built several over the years. I did an engine swap and used the Viper style engine from the AMT 1971 Duster “Custom” issue of that kit. It was practically a drop in fit. I also used the wheels, tires and disc brakes from the Duster. As I do with so many kits, I painted this kit and all the parts some time ago, then put it back in it’s box until I came across it late last year while searching for something else. I’d been curious about Krylon Fusion paint, so I picked up a can of Krylon Fusion Gloss Sunbeam, a very bright yellow, decanted it, thinned it a little with cheap lacquer thinner and airbrushed it. Through the airbrush, it sprayed very nicely, dried fast, and looks glossy. I did clear coat it with Testors Boyd’s enamel clear. That particular clear, when thinned down, has a slight amber tint which adds a little more depth to the yellow. Too bad it’s no longer available, I’ve used it as a kind of toner on a lot of builds.
